AI Film Studio Launched by Singapore’s Animeta

Animeta is betting big on artificial intelligence with the launch of its new AI Film Studio, marking a significant expansion for the Singapore-based creator tech company into AI-powered content production.

The new Mumbai-based studio represents a strategic pivot for Animeta, which has built its reputation creating influencer marketing campaigns for blue-chip clients. The company’s existing roster includes Amazon, Starbucks, Warner Music, L’Oréal Group, Tata Group, McDonald’s and Uber, supported by a creator network exceeding 400,000 members through its Animeta Brandstar platform.

The AI Film Studio initiative is being developed in partnership with Google Cloud‘s startup program, specifically utilizing Vertex AI’s Veo3 Video generation model. Animeta brings existing technical infrastructure in computer vision, video encoding, natural language processing and large language models to the venture.

Company founder Anish Mehta said: “For two decades, I helped reimagine storytelling through animation. Now, our AI Film Studio is here to push those boundaries further than ever before. We’ve built a hybrid model where human creativity and AI technology work together seamlessly, empowering creators to tell their stories faster, smarter, and infinitely scalable with copyright indemnity.”

The studio aims to enable brands to create promotional content that is high-quality and on-brand while being produced and scaled rapidly to meet the demands of a fast-paced digital landscape.

Mehta built Singapore and India-based animation studio Cosmos-Maya into one of Asia’s premier animation outfits during his decade as CEO. Under Mehta’s stewardship, the company grew from 30 employees to over 1,200 and created India’s breakout animated hit “Motu Patlu.” In 2021, NewQuest Capital Partners acquired majority ownership of the company.
