Newsbrief: Valve has deployed a major update for the Steam storefront aimed at providing “easier access” to areas that users most frequently visit. The new layout is now live on browser, the Steam PC app and mobile apps, and the Steam Deck.
The new, more “personalized” layout preserves key features like the main carousel but bundles previous search options into a bar at the top of the store. It also contains a major update to the store’s search feature, allowing players to quickly search by word results but also jump to recommended categories.
It will also introduce players to new games by showing them “popular searches” and refresh their recent searches with a “recently viewed” tab.
The update also centralizes the “recommended” and “categories” sections of the store, making them easier to access.
