Long Jianguo won men’s Speed gold on a thrilling evening of upsets and close contests at the IFSC Sport Climbing World Championships 2025 in Seoul.
The People’s Republic of China climber scaled the wall in 4.80 seconds to win the final, beating Leander Carmanns who claimed Germany’s first-ever sport climbing medal at a world championships.
USA’s Zach Hammer took home the bronze, while compatriot and world-record holder Sam Watson was knocked out when slipping in the quarter-final.
