The Only Person Who Doesn’t Want to Be Involved in Taylor Swift’s Wedding? Martha Stewart: “She Doesn’t Need Me”

Key Takeaways

  • Martha Stewart has no intention of planning Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding, the lifestyle mogul told TMZ. Last week, she told ET that she’d like to “advise” the duo.

  • There’s no word on why she changed her mind so quickly, but Martha added that Taylor “doesn’t need” her help.

  • Other celebrities have offered to be part of the celebration, including Flavor Flav and Mark Ronson.

It’s been exactly one month since Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce announced their engagement on August 26, 2025, and the couple’s nuptials has already been dubbed the American royal wedding and interest in being part of the big day has reached a fever pitch. Wedding professionals from coast to coast are clamoring to be part of the duo’s nuptials, which reports already indicate might take place in Watch Hill, Rhode Island, but there’s one surprising expert who has already bowed out from the consideration process: Martha Stewart.

In an interview with TMZ on yesterday, September 25, Martha was asked what she envisioned for the couple’s wedding. “I think the dear vocalist knows what she’s doing,” she replied. “She doesn’t need me. She has Travis.”

Last week, however, Martha told Taylor and Travis that she would “happily advise” them on their wedding plans during an interview with ET. “I think they’re probably going to keep it pretty private,” she said at the time.

Though it’s unclear why the original lifestyle influencer had such a quick change of heart about being involved in the couple’s wedding plans, there’s no shortage of other celebrities lining up to be involved in Taylor and Travis’s big day. According to People, Flavor Flav has thrown his hat into the ring to be considered as the couple’s wedding officiant. “I want to be the one officiating the wedding,” he said earlier this month.

Mark Ronson offered to be the couple’s DJ, People also reports, but since Travis recently said that the couple prefers live music, the offer that later came from the performer’s stepfather might be more well-received. Mick Jones, Ronson’s stepdad, said his band Foreigner would also be willing to perform on the big day, People notes.

Celebrity baker and TV personality Buddy Valastro, who is also known as the Cake Boss, would also like to be part of the celebration. People reports that he’s offered to make the duo their wedding cake. Last month, he made a statement wedding cake for Guy Fieri’s son, Hunter, and his new wife Tara.
