Indonesian badminton ace Jonatan Christie came from behind to beat compatriot Alwi Farhan 18-21, 21-14, 21-15 on Saturday (27 September) to secure his place in the men’s singles final at the Korea Open 2025.
Christie will be looking for his first major title of the year when he locks horns with Danish top seed Anders Antonsen in the final.
The Indonesian shuttler held a narrow one-point lead at the recess of the first game before his younger opponent found an edge in the latter stages.
Christie opened an early three-point lead in the second game, and at 16-16, he streaked ahead with five consecutive points to level the scores. He wrapped up the third to secure the victory.
In the second men’s semi-final, Antonsen overcame Chou Tien-chen 22-24, 21-19, 21-10 for his fourth final of the year.
Antonsen will be looking to add the Korean Open crown to the Indonesia Open title he won earlier this year.

Chochuwong retired hurt in their women’s singles semi-final. An will take on reigning world champion Yamaguchi Akane in the final on Sunday.
