Two golds in two nights, and once more Janja Garnbret is a world champion after winning a thrilling Boulder final at the IFSC World Championships 2025 in Seoul.
You have to be perfect to beat sport climbing’s two-time Olympic champion, and France’s Oriane Bertone looked to be on her way to the world title after three perfect tops.
But after the final top evaded Bertone, who even had her hand on the hold before slipping, Garnbret leapfrogged her in the standings to score 99.5 points and clinch a 10th world championship gold.
Bertone (85.0) took home the silver, with USA’s Melina Costanza earning bronze.
More to follow.
