GameHub: Updated Windows game emulator for Android boosts FPS and improves Steam support

GameSir has announced a major update for its Windows game emulator for Android, GameHub. The company recently released version 5.0 of the emulation app, which offered Hollow Knight: Silksong optimizations, Steam support, and performance optimizations.

The new release, which is dubbed version 5.1.0, is promising even better emulation performance. To be specific, GameSir notes that the latest update for GameHub brings major compatibility improvements, which promise higher FPS in most AAA games.

Per the company’s internal testing, the latest Windows game emulator for Android can offer 90 FPS or higher on a Snapdragon 8 Elite device while running games like:

  • DOOM 2016
  • Metro 2033
  • Metro: Last Light
  • Hollow Knight
  • Ori and the Blind Forest
  • The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

GameSir also highlights that the emulator can offer a minimum of 50 FPS on a Snapdragon 8 Elite device while running titles like:

  • Grand Theft Auto V
  • Final Fantasy VII Remake
  • Monster Hunter: World
  • Tomb Raider 2013
  • Divinity: Original Sin II
  • Devil May Cry 5
  • Far Cry 4
  • Batman Arkham City
  • Bayonetta

It’s worth noting that GameSir has tested these games at the 720p resolution with medium to low visual settings. Beyond FPS improvement during emulation, GameHub v5.1 expands the support for DX11 games on older ARM devices, and there are improvements in how the emulator handles Steam.

On the previous version, v5.0.5, the emulator offered “full” Steam support, adding cloud save sync and offering the ability to play multiplayer games. With the latest release, GameSir promises enhanced Steam stability, which should resolve the issues of cloud syncing that users have faced before.

Other than that, version 5.1.0 fixes known bugs, adds more emulator settings, and optimizes on-screen joystick controls, though a physical controller will still offer a better overall experience (8Bitdo Ultimate mobile controller curr. $39.99 on Amazon). You can download the latest version of the Android Windows PC game emulator from the official website.
