Nazi Symbols Found Hidden In James Gunn’s Peacemaker Dance, Now Being Banned

James Gunn’s Peacemaker recently revealed that the show’s second season is primarily about Nazis, with a twist ending to its sixth episode. That revelation helped fans decode what they believe to be Nazi symbols, specifically swastikas, hidden in the show’s iconic opening dance number.

In response, the video game Fortnite has now banned the dance. The Peacemaker Nazi dance was formerly available on their platform as an emote called “Peaceful Hips.”

The dance contains one repeating move. In it, the performers pump their arms. One arm goes out to the side and up, and the other goes out to the side and down.

Combine those moves together, and many believe this forms a Nazi swastika.

Was that showrunner James Gunn’s intention? There’s no way to know unless he speaks out, and so far, he’s dodged questions around his controversial choice to drop his series into an alternate universe full of Nazis. Given Gunn’s sense of humor and the fact that his show really was hiding a big Nazi secret, I’m willing to believe it’s on purpose.
