Henriette Ishimwe: Looking Ahead

Ishimwe dreams that the next generation of Rwandan girls will embrace cricket.

But her personal ambitions extend to global leagues. “I dream of playing in the world’s biggest leagues—IPL, The Hundred, Big Bash, CPL. I’ve already played in one: FairBreak Global in Dubai in 2022.”

A multi-talented individual, Ishimwe also plays volleyball and is studying hospitality and tourism management.

“After cricket, I’d love to work in my field or stay involved through coaching or umpiring. I also want to start a family.”

She envisions retiring at age 30, guided by the values that have shaped her journey, which she says are integrity, hard work, and respect.
