Hailing from Memphis, Southern Avenue is a band named for the street that runs through the center of the city. It’s also where you’ll find legendary Stax Records, who released the four-piece’s debut in 2017.

The group features Tierinii, Tikyra and Ava Jackson, as well as co-founder and guitarist Ori Naftaly. They’ve toured with Sheryl Crow, Los Lobos, The Revivalists and Tedeschi Trucks Band.

In 2019, their debut album, Keep On, earned a Grammy Award nomination for best contemporary blues album.

Today, Southern Avenue joins us for a mini-concert recorded in Philadelphia, playing songs from their new album, Family.
