Find out how ChatGPT now connects with Spotify, Canva, Figma, Coursera, Zillow, and more apps. Simplify tasks, boost creativity, and learn all within ChatGPT
OpenAI has expanded the capabilities of ChatGPT by introducing direct access to popular third-party apps within the chatbot. Users can now interact with services such as Spotify, Canva, Coursera, Figma, Zillow and more through simple text-based prompts. The feature, unveiled at OpenAI’s DevDay event, is powered by the company’s newly launched Apps SDK, which enables developers to create and link external tools to the ChatGPT platform.
Third-party apps come to ChatGPT
The integration aims to simplify multitasking by allowing users to perform various actions without switching between multiple apps or websites. Whether it’s creating a playlist on Spotify, designing a flyer on Canva, booking a hotel for your next vacation through Booking.com, or browsing property listings on Zillow, users can now complete these tasks directly within a chat.
To begin using apps in ChatGPT, users need to connect their existing accounts to the chatbot. Once linked, they can write prompts like “Spotify, make a playlist for my party this Friday,” or “Figma, can you turn this into a diagram?” The Spotify, Canva, Figma and other apps integration in ChatGPT make it possible to perform these creative and functional tasks within a single chat window.
Spotify said the experience is still evolving, stating that while not all requests may work immediately, improvements will roll out in the coming months. This reflects OpenAI’s approach to refining ChatGPT as a platform, ensuring it continues to grow as new features and tools are added.
The Zillow integration in ChatGPT demonstrates how AI can make the real estate experience more intuitive and human-centred. In collaboration with OpenAI, the feature provides users with a conversational guide, allowing millions to search for homes more quickly and easily than before.
Canva, Coursera, Figma, and Zillow join the lineup
Among the new additions, Canva stands out for its design capabilities. Through the ChatGPT Canva integration, users can generate designs, preview them, and make adjustments by typing simple commands such as make the text larger or change the background colour. Once the design is ready, it can be opened in Canva for final edits.
Figma’s integration brings collaborative design options, allowing users to create wireframes, brainstorm layouts, or modify design elements. Coursera adds a learning dimension — users can now ask ChatGPT to suggest relevant online courses or tutorials directly from Coursera’s database.
Meanwhile, Zillow’s integration makes it easier to browse properties; you can, for example, search for “Zillow how me homes for sale in Kansas City for under $500,000” and view listings complete with prices, photos, and maps.
More apps coming soon
This rollout is just the beginning for OpenAI’s ChatGPT internal apps feature. The company plans to add more integrations soon, including Uber, DoorDash, KhanAcademy, The Fork, Thumbtack, Instacart, Target, OpenTable, Peloton, Tripadvisor and AllTrails. These future tools will let users order food, book taxis, reserve tables, or plan trips without ever leaving ChatGPT.
