LAS VEGAS – Jordan Walsh delivered 17 points to lead the Boston Celtics to an 87-78 win over the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA 2K26 Summer League at Thomas and Mack Center on Thursday evening.
The game got off to a tight start, but the Lakers pulled ahead to take a 26-21 lead after the first quarter. The Celtics cranked up the defense in the second and held the Lakers to just nine points, while they rallied to a five-point advantage heading into the break. Boston kept the momentum going in the third and added another five points to the cushion, putting together a 10-point lead going into the final frame. The Lakers had no answers down the stretch, as the Celtics charged to the finish.
Walsh closed the night with efficient 6-for-11 shooting, including 2-for-4 from deep, to go with six rebounds and two steals. Hugo González followed up with 13 points, five rebounds and a block, while Kenneth Lofton Jr. stuffed the stat sheet with 12 points, seven rebounds, five assists, three steals and a block.
The Lakers had four players score in double digits, led by Bronny James, who scored 18 points on 7-for-13 shooting, including 1-for-4 from long range, with three rebounds, five assists and a steal in 28 minutes. DJ Steward followed up with 14 points, five assists and a steal, while Cole Swider and Christian Koloko added 12 points each.
