Oppo Find N5 comes out ahead of Honor Magic V5 and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 in early battery tests

Based on early analysis, the Find N5 retains its crown as the foldable to beat when its comes to battery life. As the images below show, Oppo’s latest foldable easily outlasts the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Magic V5 in early tests. Arguably, the Galaxy Z Fold7 coming up short against the Find N5 should come as no surprise, considering the 21% drop in battery capacity.

Conversely, the Magic V5 features a 5,820 mAh battery unless you opt for the Chinese variant with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB. While Honor’s latest foldable enjoys a 4% battery capacity advantage over the Find N5, it falls behind even the Magic V3 and Galaxy Z Fold6 in Hardware Zone’s early review. Specifically, the Magic V5 runs out of battery 13% sooner than its predecessor in the PCMark for Android’s Work 3.0 Battery Life test and 10% sooner than the Galaxy Z Fold6.

Worse still, the Magic V5 depletes its larger battery 21% sooner than the Find N5 in its normal mode. Apparently, switching the Magic V5 to its performance mode reduces battery life in the same test by a further 15% too, resulting in a 33% gap to the Find N5. Please see the data above and below for more details.
