Porsche factory driver Pascal Wehrlein scored his sixth podium finish of the season in Saturday’s ABB FIA Formula E World Championship London E-Prix race. It is the 14th podium of the season secured with the highly efficient Porsche 99X Electric and the 10th for the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team. The German driver qualified third and was in podium positions throughout the race, setting the fastest lap time on lap 20 for an additional championship point.
Jake Dennis, driving the highly efficient 99X Electric of customer team Andretti Formula E, started the race in 11th and crossed the line in fifth, dropping to eighth after a time penalty for contact with another car.
Wehrlein’s teammate António Félix da Costa finished out of the points in 14th after an additional pit stop for a front wing change. The Portuguese had fought his way up into the top ten after starting from 17th. He was involved in a collision when the car in front had slowed down momentarily.
Cupra Kiro’s David Beckmann finished 12th while his teammate Dan Ticktum ended his race with an accident. Nico Müller (Andretti Formula E) finished 15th.
The remaining two titles will be decided in tomorrow’s season finale. Porsche holds a 23-point advantage over Nissan in the battle for the Manufacturers’ Championship. The factory-owned TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team is now 37 points ahead of the Nissan Formula E Team in the teams’ standings.

Comments on the London E-Prix
Florian Modlinger, Director Factory Motorsport Formula E: ‟An important day for us today in both championships and a podium for Pascal after a strong qualifying. António, after missing pace in qualifying, showed a strong performance in the race and had got up to P10. The front wing change meant he didn’t score any points. However, the podium brought us valuable points in the Teams’ Championship, extending our lead there. In the manufacturers’ standings we gained significant points as well, increased our lead from 7 to 23 points. But tomorrow is another race day since a lot can happen on this track here in London. It’s key to qualify well. We will work hard to achieve our target of both cars up there in qualifying.”
Pascal Wehrlein, Porsche factory driver (#1): ‟Another podium with P3 today. A good step in the right direction of winning more championships. We still need some points, but we can be happy with today’s race. We did exactly what we wanted although I tried to achieve more than third place, but it wasn’t there. We will try to make it even better tomorrow.”
António Félix da Costa, Porsche factory driver (#13): ‟A difficult day. I didn’t do a great job in qualifying and started near the back. I was having a good race and climbing into the points. Unfortunately, when I was in Attack Mode with more power, the car in front had a power cut and it was impossible to avoid hitting him. It was a positive day for the team with Pascal in P3 and increasing the gap in the Teams’ Championship. Let’s go again tomorrow for the final day of the season.”
