From the inspiring comebacks of gymnastics great Rebeca Andrade and British rower Helen Glover, to diving icon Greg Louganis who overcame an HIV diagnosis, the series delves into some of the greatest athlete stories in the history of the Olympic Games.
“Opening the doors to our most treasured Olympic artefacts and entrusting them to world-class storytellers was a perfect match,” said Olympic Museum Associate Director, Yasmin Meichtry. ‘The Vault’ shines a light on the remarkable behind-the-scenes work of our Collections teams and the untold moments of the Olympic Games, bringing their legacy to life for new global audiences.”
The first five episodes are out now on all Olympic platforms, while the second half of the series will be released in late 2025 ahead of the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026, being held from 6-22 February 2026.
In the second half of the series, Olympians Gabriella Papadakis, Martin Fourcade, Fanny Smith, Aksel Lund Svindal and Michael “Eddie the Eagle” Edwards will be the protagonists.
