Sweet Swarm celebrates Combee and Swirlix in Pokémon Go.
Running until 11:59pm (local time) on Wednesday 6th August, this Pokémon Go event sees both Combee and Swirlix having increased shiny odds. Hopefully you’ll be able to add one to your collection!
Here’s also Sweet Swarm research tasks and two Sweet Swarm Timed Research quests to complete. Keep in mind though, that the quests change during the event, so you’ll need to finish them quickly if you want all of the rewards.

‘Sweet Swarm Swirlix’ quest steps and rewards
Sweet Swarm: Swirlix is a Timed Research quest running as part of the Sweet Swarm event in Pokémon Go. This quest will be available until Monday 4th August at 11:59pm (local time). Once this time passes, it will be replaced with a second Timed Research quest that will run until Sweet Swarm ends.

‘Sweet Swarm: Swirlix’ Step 1 of 2
- Use 5 Berries to help catch Pokémon – Swirlix encounter
- Catch 10 Pokémon – Swirlix encounter
- Catch 15 Pokémon – Swirlix encounter
- Spin 5 PokéStops or Gyms – Swirlix encounter
Rewards: 500 Stardust, 10 Pinap Berries and Swirlix encounter.

- Send 3 Gifts to friends – Swirlix encounter
- Catch 10 Pokémon – Swirlix encounter
- Power up Pokémon 3 times – Swirlix encounter
- Evolve a Pokémon – Swirlix encounter
Rewards: 2,500 Stardust, 15 Pinap Berries and Swirlix encounter.
Sweet Swarm field research tasks
Here are the Sweet Swarm field research tasks in Pokémon Go:
- Evolve a Pokémon reward – Combee or Swirlix encounter
- Power up Pokémon 3 times reward – Combee or Swirlix encounter
- Spin 5 PokéStops or Gyms reward – Combee or Swirlix encounter

Take a look at the Pokémon Go event and raid schedule for August! Sweet Swarm is currently running. There’s a new Pokémon Go code for the Gigantamax Journey quest.
You can now catch Dynamax Pokémon through Max Battles. First, however, you need to visit Power Spots to collect Max Particles and complete the To the Max! quest.
Don’t forget to try out Routes, Gift Exchange and Party Play while you’re hunting down rare Pokémon, fighting in the Go Battle League or competing in PokéStop Showcases.
Sweet Swarm bonuses
- Lure Modules used during the event will last for one hour
- Lure Modules are more likely to attract Combee and Swirlix
- Increased chance of encountering shiny Combee and shiny Swirlix
