The FC Barcelona tour of Asia is now over after victories against Vissel Kobe, FC Seoul and Daegu FC. The blaugranes head back to Barcelona where on Sunday they will face Como 1907 in the Joan Gamper Trophy game, kick off 9pm CEST. The trip to Asia has been a great success, especially so for midfielder Gavi who ended the tour as top scorer with no less than three goals.
First preseason following injury
Gavi’s form comes as great new for Barça after the midfielder missed preseason last year as he was still recovering from a serious knee injury which kept him out of action for almost a year. Slowly but surely the Barça number 6 has been getting back to his pre-injury best.
Gavi’s three goals all came in South Korea in the games against FC Seoul and Daegu FC. Furthermore, he scored two of them with his weaker left foot.
A tough battle
The fight to be top scorer was a tough one with Gavi finishing just a goal ahead of Lamine Yamal, Lewandowski and Ferran Torres. The midfielder succeeds Pau Víctor, now of Sporting de Braga, who was scored three goals last season on the team preseason of the USA.
