An increase in uptake of routine childhood vaccines among US children over 15 years was associated with a decrease in antibiotic prescriptions and antibiotic-treated sinus infections, according to an ecological study published today in Antimicrobial Stewardship & Healthcare Epidemiology.

Using de-identified commercial claims data, researchers from Merck and Analysis Group Inc. analyzed uptake of four pediatric vaccines recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for children aged 5 years and younger: the 7- or 13-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine, Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) vaccine, diphtheria-tetanus-acellular pertussis (DTaP) vaccine, and influenza vaccine. Vaccination status was assessed annually from 2000 through 2019, and children were categorized based on receipt of all 4 vaccines, 1 to 3 vaccines, or no vaccines.

The primary outcomes were antibiotic prescriptions for any reasons and five respiratory tract infections that commonly result in antibiotic prescriptions: otitis media (ear infection), pharyngitis, pneumonia, sinusitis, and viral respiratory infections.

Antibiotic prescriptions nearly cut in half

Data from 6.7 million children showed that vaccine uptake more than doubled over the study period, from 32.5% of children receiving one dose of the four vaccines in 2004 (the first year all 4 vaccines were recommended) to 66.8% in 2019. The proportion of unvaccinated children fell from 8.4% in 2004 to 2.5% in 2019. At the same time, overall antibiotic prescriptions decreased from 1.89 to 1.01 per person-year from 2000 through 2019, and the rate of overall antibiotic prescriptions decreased by 46.6%. The greatest reduction in comparison to 2000 was seen in macrolides (73.3%) and broad-spectrum antibiotics (57%).

Antibiotic-treated respiratory tract infections declined from 2.43 to 1.61 episodes per person-year, with the largest decreases in sinusitis (64.7%) and pharyngitis (39.8%). The incidence of overall antibiotic-treated respiratory tract infections decreased by 33.8% in 2019 compared with 2000.

“Although causality cannot be inferred due to the ecological study design, the observed trends are consistent with the notion that reducing vaccine-preventable diseases may decrease antibiotic use,” the study authors wrote. “While various factors besides vaccination may also play a role, future prospective cohort studies using longitudinal patient-level data are warranted to validate this association.”

  • Targeted Radiation Offers Promise in Patients with Metastasized Small Cell Lung Cancer to the Brain

In a phase 2 trial, Mass General Brigham researchers found patients were successfully treated with targeted radiation rather than the historical standard of whole brain radiation.

In a phase 2 trial, Mass General Brigham researchers found patients were successfully treated with targeted radiation rather than the historical standard of whole brain radiation.

A new study led by investigators from Mass General Brigham trialed stereotactic (targeted) brain-directed radiation in 100 patients with small cell lung cancer and brain metastases, finding they experienced positive outcomes that support use of targeted radiation in the future for such patients. Results are published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology.

“Despite being the historical standard, whole brain radiation might not be necessary for all patients,” said first author Ayal Aizer, MD, MHS, director of Central Nervous System Radiation Oncology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, a founding member of the Mass General Brigham healthcare system. “Our findings demonstrate that targeted, brain-directed radiation may be a viable treatment for patients with limited brain metastases from small cell lung cancer and potentially spare them from the side effects of whole brain radiation.”

Currently, two major treatment options exist for patients being treated with brain metastases: whole brain radiation, which sends beams of radiation throughout the entire brain to kill tumor cells, and stereotactic radiation, which aims beams of radiation only at tumors. The targeted nature of stereotactic radiation creates fewer long-term side effects, but for patients with brain metastases from small cell lung cancer, it hasn’t been tested in dedicated trials, until now.

Between 2018 and 2023, 100 patients with small cell lung cancer and 1-10 brain metastases were enrolled in this single arm, multi-center, phase 2 trial of stereotactic treatment. Comparing treatment with stereotactic radiation against whole brain radiation, the researchers found neurological death rate one-year post-treatment was 11% in their trial population versus the historical 17.5% rate in patients managed with whole brain radiation. Moreover, after initial treatment, most patients did not require subsequent whole brain radiation—likely due to the intensive brain monitoring built into the study protocol.

“These results support a shift toward more personalized, targeted treatment approaches that can help maintain quality of life while effectively managing brain metastases,” Aizer said. “By avoiding whole brain radiation in select patients, we may be able to improve quality of life and reduce cognitive side effects without compromising outcomes.”

  • NBA Fantasy: Top 10 fantasy performances of 2024-25

NBA Fantasy: Top 10 fantasy performances of 2024-25

Giannis Antetokounmpo takes the crown for the best fantasy game of the season.

In this article, we will review the league’s best single-game fantasy performances from the 2024-25 season. We will look at players who totaled at least 80 fantasy points (FPTs) in a game, something only a handful of players were able to do, but also a feat that a few players achieved on more than one occasion. For the purpose of variety, we will only highlight a player once. The common factor among the following players and their ability to produce monumental numbers is their dedication to contributing across the stat sheet; getting their hands dirty on the glass, dishing to open teammates, locking in defensively and obviously, getting buckets.

    Giannis Antetokounmpo: 98.3 FPTs – November 13, 2024

Antetokounmpo unleashed an absolutely devastating performance on the visiting Detroit Pistons, as he racked up 59 points on 21-for-34 shooting and 16-for-17 from the foul line, 14 rebounds, seven assists, two steals and three blocks in a 127-120 win. He also amassed 89.4 FPTs in a road win over the 76ers on April 3, 2025. Antetokounmpo undoubtedly remains one of the most all-around dominant players in the league and has now averaged over 30 points per game for three straight seasons. He also shot over 60 percent from the field in the last two seasons, and there is fair reason to expect the 30-year-old to continue to show improvement in parts of his game as he heads into his 13th season.

    Nikola Jokić: 94.9 FPTs – January 23, 2025

His nickname may be the Joker, but Jokić was the unrivaled King of NBA fantasy in 2025, as he reached 90 FPTs on three occasions and topped 80 a total of 12 times during the regular season and once in the playoffs. He also boasted impressive shooting percentages from the field, long range and the foul line. His biggest performance consisted of 35 points on 12-for-19 shooting, including 2-for-3 from the 3-point line and 9-for-10 from the foul line, 22 rebounds, 17 assists, a steal and two blocks. Jokić put together an absolutely incredible season, becoming the first non-point guard to ever average a triple-double and the first player to rank top-10 in the league in points (3rd), rebounds (3rd), assists (2nd) and steals (2nd) per game. The big man heads into his 11th NBA season well-recognized as one of the most single-handedly influential players ever seen. He is likely to continue stuffing the stat sheet and would be as good of a number-one pick as any in 2025-26 fantasy drafts.

    Stephen Curry: 92.0 FPTs – April 1, 2025

At 6-foot-2 and 37 years of age, Curry’s ability to stack up these kinds of numbers needs to be studied. He tallied 52 points on 16-for-31 shooting from the field, including 12-for-20 from the 3-point line and 8-for-8 from the foul line, 10 rebounds, eight assists, five steals and a block in a win over the host Memphis Grizzlies. Curry also had a season-high 56 points in a win over the host Orlando Magic on February 27, 2025. Despite his unimposing size and relatively advanced age, Curry showed he is still able to command the game with an uncanny ability to get his shot off despite any number of defenders. He also has a good instinct for when to pursue rebounds, and he draws so much defensive attention that he has no problem finding open teammates. The four-time champ and 11-time All-Star is likely to remain a thorn in the side of defenders and a top-tier scoring threat through 2025-26.

    Luka Dončić: 89.7 FPTs – December 15, 2024

Dončić enjoyed his biggest game of the season while still a member of the Dallas Mavericks, as he tallied 45 points, 11 rebounds, 13 assists, three steals and two blocks in a win over the host Golden State Warriors in mid-December. Dončić’s best performance after joining the Los Angeles Lakers came against his former squad, as he delivered 72.6 FPTs with 45 points, eight rebounds, six assists and four steals in a win over the host Mavericks on April 9, 2025. The 26-year-old Dončić is established as one of the most feared scorers in the league, but he is also a consistent contributor across the stat sheet, including five triple-doubles last season. He is coming off a tough campaign that was wrought by injury trouble and interrupted by a trade, but with a full offseason to prepare, he should be ready to pick up at the top of his game.

    Jimmy Butler III: 87.8 FPTs – December 16, 2024

Butler III’s style of play is not tremendously flashy, but he does a great job of influencing the game across the board and also in ways that do not show up on the stat sheet. While still a member of the Miami Heat, he turned in his highest-grossing performance of the season, with 35 points on 12-for-21 shooting, 19 rebounds, 10 assists, four steals and a block in a win over the host Detroit Pistons. Meanwhile, his best performance after joining the Golden State Warriors was slightly less grand, but very much more timely, as he amassed 62.4 FPTs with 38 points, seven rebounds, six assists and three steals to lead his squad to a win over the Memphis Grizzlies in the Play-In, thus, securing a playoff position. Butler III is in a great position to thrive, and now that he has had time to settle into his new surroundings, it would not be surprising to see him have a season to rival his best.

    Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: 83.1 FPTs – January 22, 2025

It should not be a surprise to find the reigning MVP on this list. In fact, he struck more than once by going over 80 FPTs two times during the season, and he also reached the 50-point mark on four occasions. His biggest overall performance included 54 points on 17-for-35 shooting from the field, 17-for-18 shooting from the foul line, eight rebounds, five assists, three steals and two blocks in a win over the visiting Utah Jazz. It is noteworthy that three of his four 50-point games took place at home, while he also averaged 33.4 points on 53.5 percent shooting from the field at home, compared to 31.9 points on 50.2 percent shooting on the road in 2024-25. However, the notable difference in his production is anything but a concern when both scoring averages are over 30 points per game. At just 26 years of age, Gilgeous-Alexander is primed to continue this reign as one of the league’s most unstoppable scorers, but his ability to provide value on the defensive end is the key that kicks his fantasy production into the most elite category.

    Honorable mentions: 80-Point Club

Jayson Tatum: 84.7 FPTs – February 28, 2025 vs. Cavaliers

46 points, 16 rebounds, nine assists, three blocks

Paolo Banchero: 84.1 FPTs – October 28, 2024 vs. Pacers

50 points, 13 rebounds, nine assists, one steal, two blocks

Tyrese Haliburton: 80.9 FPTs – May 27, 2025 (playoffs) vs. Knicks

32 points, 12 rebounds, 15 assists, four steals

    De’Aaron Fox: 80.1 FPTs – November 15, 2024 vs. Timberwolves

60 points, three rebounds, seven assists, three steals, one block

Victor Wembanyama: 80.6 FPTs – December 25, 2024 at Knicks

42 points, 18 rebounds, four assists, one steal, four blocks

American Samoa Declares Dengue Health Emergency — Vax-Before-Travel

    (Vax-Before-Travel News)

The southernmost territory of the United States, situated southwest of Hawaii in the Pacific Ocean, has declared a health emergency related to a surge of dengue fever cases.

As of July 7, 2025, the American Samoa Department of Health issued a travel alert following the confirmation of four imported cases of dengue fever and two locally-acquired cases. The local population is urged to protect themselves from mosquito bites, which are the source of this serious disease.

The government stated that these dengue cases are related to travelers to and from Samoa, a neighboring island.

According to the Samoa Bureau of Statistics, American Samoa welcomed over 200,000 visitors in 2024.

Over the last two years, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has reported an increasing number of dengue cases in territories.

The CDC says the dengue virus is endemic and has caused outbreaks in the U.S. territories of Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and the Republic of Palau.

Except for Puerto Rico, dengue vaccines are not available in the continental U.S. or its territories as of 2025.

Within the U.S., the state of Florida reports the majority of dengue cases.

  • How the APXGP car was built

How the APXGP car was built

Stood on an industrial estate beneath the Gatwick Airport flightpath in the leafy southern counties of the United Kingdom, a thought crosses my mind: we’re a long way from Hollywood.

And yet here, within an unassuming collection of warehouses and garages, lurks one of the stars of F1 The Movie – and no, it’s not Brad Pitt. As I hop out of the way of a passing Porsche 993 about to be brutally carved up and cosmetic surgeried for another film, I catch sight of the gold nose cone of the APXGP car lurking in a garage.

The actual machine that Pitt and co-star Damson Idris – as the fictional, fractious team mates Sonny Hayes and Joshua Pearce – race in the Joe Kosinski-directed movie released internationally on June 25.

One of the privileges of this job is getting to stand close to bona fide Formula 1 cars, and as I enter the garage, there is that reverential zen feeling you get when you’re close to these machines at rest, like entering the stable of a prized thoroughbred racehorse. Except that despite its looks, this beast is far less thoroughbred racehorse – and far more ‘mule in gladrags’…

It’s the creation of Graham Kelly and his team at GK Evolution, the company the former motorsport engineer put together over 30 years ago to create vehicles for the silver screen.

Kelly’s cinematic CV is staggering. From Bourne to Bond, and having even worked on one of the most revered stunt driving sequences of all time – in Ronin, directed by John Frankenheimer, the man behind the 1967 F1 classic Grand Prix – Kelly has been there and done that when it comes to making movies with fast cars in them.

Or at least he thought he had.

“This film came along and I couldn’t really say no,” Kelly chuckles as we talk in his office, overlooking the work bays where his team are tooling over various pieces of automotive exotica. “I think I was the fourth person on the film.

“2022 was my first phone call and then that July I ended up at Silverstone with Jerry Bruckheimer and Joe Kosinski on a kind of recce at the race, which was interesting. Then it went away for a little bit. I went back to a film that I was on in Italy and it kind of just went very quiet. Then September I got a call saying, okay we’re on, we want to go next season. They wanted to start shooting at Silverstone in ‘23.

“At this point we had no cast, no real concept, a couple of ideas. But one of the conversations that happened without me was with Lewis Hamilton, who introduced Joe to [Mercedes Team Principal] Toto Wolff – and there was a kind of a frisson of ideas that came out of that. And the idea was to build the cars.”

    Mercedes step in

Kelly’s concept for building the cars for F1 was simple: Mercedes’ Applied Science division would create F1-style bodywork that could be bolted onto a Formula 2 chassis that had been stretched and widened with ‘spacers’ to take it to near-F1 dimensions.

Having a glitzy car with no firepower, however, simply wouldn’t cut it for the type of immersive driving that Kosinski had envisioned for the film, and thus the first APXGP car – the one on show in Kelly’s garage today – was fitted with a genuine Mecachrome Formula 2 engine, giving the car full-on, motorsport-grade pace.

A further Mecachrome-engined car followed, along with two cars using GP3-era V6s – while Kelly also had a brainwave to create one electric chassis.

“Quite a lot of the film, it seemed, was going to be shot in the pit lane,” he says. “And this is where my background of film and my background of motor racing helped immensely, because I could see a problem straight away: we can’t use a petrol engine in the pit lane. It would just explode!

“So we quickly put a whole electric 400-volt plan together… and truthfully that car saved our lives – it kept us filming all the time.”

    At the races

Having fettled the car at both Silverstone and Spain’s Ascari circuit, it was time for it to play at real race weekends, with the film team embedding themselves at actual Grands Prix – to the extent of even running the cars at the back of the field for the formation lap at the 2024 British Grand Prix.

However, here again the world of Hollywood bumped into the realities of motorsport.

“[Normally on a movie] we set a scene and then we have cars prepared to do that scene, and then we cut at the end of the road and reset back to ‘number one’ [the original position] and we do it again, probably 20 times,“ says Kelly of his usual process of setting up driving scenes.

“Well Formula 1 cars, or race cars, can’t do that. They can’t sit there idling while we decide what we’re going to do. It’s kind of like, when they’re running, they have to go, air has to go over the radiators and then they’ll have to go and do a cool-down lap. And these are all of the issues that I was trying to wrangle with during the film process.

“I’m like, you can’t just bring the cars in, you have to give them a cool lap, let them get some air over the brakes, otherwise they’re going to be on fire when they come down the pit lane and everybody… was really struggling with the idea that we’re now in the motorsport world.

“But it all came together in the end beautifully.”

    Finding the right chase car

Having fast cars on track was one thing. But for Joe Kosinski – fresh off the ultra-visceral Top Gun: Maverick project – to get the chase and following driving shots that he wanted, he also required a high-speed camera car – leading Kelly to recall one of his less happy memories from the shoot…

“It became very obvious that we didn’t have a traditional camera car available to us that would keep up with these cars,” he says. “So we went through various options and we ended up with a horrendous thing from America which was an old LMP [Le Mans Prototype] car which was super quick but not quick in the corners, so the balance of what we were trying to shoot was all wrong.

“Our cars would come out of the corners and disappear and [the camera car driver] would lose us on the straights so it was a whole world of pain there.

“[In the end we] decided that the thing that we got from America was just no good. In fact, we blew it up in Hungary! We lost all the oil pressure and then the pump fell apart and at that point I said, ‘Send it away, I’m done now!’”

Another one of the GP3-engined APXGP cars was used as a replacement – an imperfect solution but one which helped add to the visual impact of the movie.

“The GP3 car wasn’t as quick as the F2 cars,” says Kelly, “but we could tame that back a bit and the camera movement was good because it could get in the mix, and that gave us quite a lot of ‘speed effect’ in the camera.”

    Actors-slash-racing drivers

In the world of cinema, it’s normal practice for actors to be filmed driving in close-ups, only for be-wigged, be-costumed stunt drivers to then be substituted in when there’s proper driving to be done.

And while precision drivers were used for many segments in the film – including Duncan Tappy, Craig Dolby and former Formula 2 champion Luciano Bacheta – both Pitt and Idris themselves spent hours and hours spinning laps in single-seaters, especially at Silverstone, in order to both train them up for the rigours of motorsport, and to capture convincingly fast shots of them driving.

“[The single-seater training cars] were quicker through the corners than our [APXGP] car so they had quite a lot of aero characteristics, which was good to train Brad on – he needed to feel what the aero was doing and it seemed like a good step to get him from that to the [APXGP] car,” remembers Kelly.

Post-shooting on the film, Pitt had proved his worth behind the wheel to such an extent that he was even invited to drive a real McLaren F1 car at the Circuit of The Americas in Texas (check that out below). So, did Kelly think Pitt had the right stuff when it came to racing?

“I have to say, Brad surprised us all,” he says. “He jumped in the car and I was kind of pessimistic about the whole thing, partly because I’m responsible for safety and I’m responsible for putting a 61-year-old actor in a 600 horsepower, 600 kilo car… I was a bit concerned, let’s put it that way!

“And then we got him into these [lower formula] cars and the feedback we were getting from the guys that were running the car was that he knows where to put the car. Him and Luce [Luciano Bacheta], they became joined at the hip.

“He just loved it. He enjoyed it, and you could see him just growing into a person that loves driving race cars. I mean, he’s always been a bike man, so he developed very quickly and we all began to trust that process.

“Damson was great as well… but he didn’t love it the way Brad loved it. So I think you need to really love it. I mean, Brad was a couple of seconds off Formula 2 lap speeds in a car that was nowhere near as capable as a Formula 2 car, heavier by 100kgs, longer, so it was easier to handle, but he wasn’t doing bad.”

Whatever the team behind F1 set out to do, it seems to be resonating with audiences, with the film currently sitting on a 97% ‘Popcornmeter’ score on the Rotten Tomatoes movie review website.

But to the million-dollar question (well, couple of hundred million actually): with all Kelly’s experience, does he back the filmmakers’ claims that they’ve managed to create the most authentic racing movie of all time?

“The experience was fantastic, it was an amazing experience,” he says. “It was exhausting and I think it was exhausting because it was quite a lot of subliminal stress involved in worrying about guys in cars on track and the film process, and actually also exhausting because of the way that [the motorsport] world exists every weekend.

“But I realised that whatever film was coming out of it was going to be really grounded in motorsport. The audience is sophisticated enough to tell whether [the action] is on a stage or it’s CGI – and all of the stuff I’ve ever done, Ronin, all of that stuff, has all been visceral and real.

“And Joe coming off the back of Top Gun, which was clearly real – he came into this film, and all the stuff I’ve seen, you can see the tiny little nuances of a man driving a car at that sort of speed.

“And all of the effects on that, the image that you see, that for me… makes it feel real and that’s what the film needed.”

He adds, of the film’s ultimate litmus test: “All the [F1] drivers went to see the movie in Monaco and all of us were like, they’re all going to be oversensitive and overcritical of the movie, because they’re all drivers – and I don’t think one of them came out saying it was s***. They all came out saying, ‘That was really good’.”

  • ‘Superman’ Opening At Global Box Office Is $40.3 Million In Two Days

‘Superman’ Opening At Global Box Office Is $40.3 Million In Two Days

DC/Warner Bros’ Superman has begun zipping around the world, ringing up $40.3 million through Wednesday and Thursday in North America and 57 overseas markets. The split there is a record-making $22.5M in domestic previews Thursday night, while $17.8M has come from the international box office so far in the movie’s first two days of offshore release.

The global total to date does not include Friday’s estimates for North America.

The James Gunn-directed latest installment about the Man of Steel debuted in nine offshore markets on Wednesday, with another 48 markets joining Thursday. Today adds another 21, which takes the total number of international territories in release to 78.

In terms of openings on Wednesday, France was a No. 1 start at $1.3M including previews and ahead of a long weekend for Bastille Day; the debut is 3% above Thunderbolts and also over the most recent Venom and Aquaman movies (+8%). The cume through Thursday is $1.8M.

Korea, which we continue to stress is a depressed market, started at $700,000 on Wednesday. That was good for No. 1 and ranked roughly on par with Guardians of the Galaxy, and ahead of Thunderbolts and Aquaman & the Lost Kingdom. Imax repped a strong 18% of the box office from 26 locations. The Korea cume through Friday, not reflected in the international and global totals above, is an estimated $1.7M.

Italy’s Wednesday opening of $519K was a No. 1 start and roughly on par with Justice League as well as 2% bigger than Man of Steel, 51% ahead of Guardians the first, 97% bigger than Wonder Woman and 159% higher than Aquaman & The Lost Kingdom.

Indonesia had a $462K No. 1 start on Wednesday, ranking No. 1 with results on par with Thunderbolts and ahead of GOTG1 & 2, Man of Steel, The Batman and Top Gun: Maverick.

The Philippines on Wednesday saw Supes dominate at No. 1 with a 78% market share. The opening day of $386K was 22% above the most recent Mission: Impossible, 29% ahead of Aquaman & The Lost Kingdom, 31% higher than Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

On Thursday, some heavy-hitters chimed in. To wit: Mexico debuted at No. 1 with $2.2M. This is the 2nd biggest opening day for a DC movie ever and is roughly on par with The Batman.

Australia bowed to $1.3M at No. 1 and claimed the best opening day of 2025 to date. The launch is on par with Aquaman & The Lost Kingdom, 10% over The Batman, 13% ahead of Man of Steel, 56% bigger than Guardians 3.

Super DC market Brazil came in with a strong No. 1 start for Superman on Thursday of $2M — the biggest opening day ever for James Gunn. The launch day was bigger than all Guardians movies as well as Joker and The Batman, notably.

In the UAE, the David Corenswet/Rachel Brosnahan/Nicholas Hoult-starrer ranked No. 1 accounting for half of the total market. Opening day results are roughly on par with The Batman and higher than Aquaman and the Mission movies

In Thailand, Superman dominated at No. 1 on Thursday with 58% share at $631K.

The Top 5 through Thursday are: Mexico ($2.2M), Brazil ($2M), France ($1.8M), Australia ($1.3M) and Korea ($1.1M).

China, where we have already estimated this is not going to move the needle, opened today to $2.4M.

We’ll have more during the weekend…

Shopify, Snap, Upstart, ON24, and Upwork Shares Plummet, What You Need To Know

A number of stocks fell in the afternoon session after the Trump administration announced intentions to impose a 35% tariff on many goods imported from Canada.

This move is far more than a typical trade dispute; it targets the United States’ largest and most deeply integrated trading partner. Canada is not merely a neighbor but a critical component of North American supply chains, particularly in sectors like automotive, energy, and critical minerals. This move has sparked concerns about potential retaliatory actions and a wider impact on the North American economy, leading to a risk-off sentiment among investors. The S&P 500, Dow Jones Industrial Average, and Nasdaq all opened lower, pulling back from recent record highs and heading for their first weekly loss in three weeks.

The stock market overreacts to news, and big price drops can present good opportunities to buy high-quality stocks.

Among others, the following stocks were impacted:

Shopify’s shares are very volatile and have had 28 moves greater than 5% over the last year. In that context, today’s move indicates the market considers this news meaningful but not something that would fundamentally change its perception of the business.

Shopify is up 4.3% since the beginning of the year, but at $112.11 per share, it is still trading 13.3% below its 52-week high of $129.31 from February 2025. Investors who bought $1,000 worth of Shopify’s shares 5 years ago would now be looking at an investment worth $1,157.

Here at StockStory, we certainly understand the potential of thematic investing. So, in that spirit, we’ve identified a relatively under-the-radar profitable growth stock benefiting from the rise of AI, available to you FREE via this link.
