IntegrateRNA Launches Custom Aminoacyl-tRNA In Vitro Synthesis Service to Support Protein Synthesis

Expanding the Scope of Protein Synthesis via Customized Aminoacyl-tRNA Generation to Facilitate Incorporation of Non-Canonical Amino Acids in Synthetic Biology and Therapeutic Development.

NEW YORK, NY, August 31, 2025 /24-7PressRelease/ — Creative Biogene’s R&D focused business division, IntegrateRNA, which specializes in providing easy-to-use, superior products as well as high-quality novel services, today announced the launch of its Aminoacyl-tRNA In Vitro Synthesis Service. This service will help support and drive protein synthesis research by enabling the generation of customized aminoacylated tRNAs. The molecules are key to robust protein translation in in vitro systems, thus allowing for more accurate and scalable protein synthesis of non-canonical amino acid-containing proteins.

The technology is set to provide researchers with the tools they need to engineer proteins with improved functional characteristics and will find applications in synthetic biology, drug discovery, enzyme engineering, and more.

    Technical Features and Innovations

The service works by taking advantage of a robust in vitro translation system to covalently link amino acids to transfer RNA (tRNA) molecules. This enzyme-based process, which is similar to that which happens inside living cells during translation, will enable the high-yield production of aminoacylated tRNAs. The technology will also support the inclusion of non-canonical or modified amino acids, enabling an expanded design space for researchers. This means that scientists can now design and produce custom proteins with enhanced stability, activity, or specificity, and have potential applications in developing new therapeutics or industrial enzymes.

    Industries and Use Cases

Anticipated across pharma R&D, protein engineering, and novel biologics development, the use cases for this service include the ability to insert non-standard amino acids into proteins, which can help researchers create protein variants with unique properties that may not be possible through natural processes alone.

Marcia Brady, Head of Technology, Creative Biogene, stated: “Synthesizing proteins with non-canonical amino acids is a transformative development. It opens up new possibilities for designing proteins with specific properties and could significantly speed up the development of biotechnology.”

    Plans for the Future

In the future, IntegrateRNA plans to improve its Aminoacyl-tRNA synthesis platform by enabling support for an even broader array of amino acid modifications and expanding production to an industrial scale. These advancements could have a major impact on synthetic biology and the development of therapeutic proteins, leading to the development of next-generation biopharmaceuticals and engineered enzymes.

    About IntegrateRNA

IntegrateRNA is a division of Creative Biogene, and a trusted supplier of high-quality oligonucleotides and custom RNA synthesis services. Catering to academia, pharma, and biotech, the company is supporting research at the cutting edge of molecular biology and therapeutic development.

  • PS5 Users Relieved As Industry Veteran Declares There’s ‘No Real Need’ for PS6 Yet

One of the gaming industry’s most well-known veterans has weighed in on the PlayStation 6’s reported upcoming release date, and, perhaps surprisingly, he thinks the next-generation of home consoles can wait.

If you’ve heard of the name Naoki Yoshida, it’s probably pointless for me to rehash his storied history in the video game industry.

If you haven’t though, I highly suggest looking into his body of work. Yoshida has had quite a lengthy and honestly kind of baffling career.

He started out in the early 90s, and hopped around from projects in franchises like Street Fighter and Bomberman, before finally settling down at Square Enix in the early 2000s.

Since then, his career has mostly revolved around the Final Fantasy series. Most notably, Yoshida has been seemingly permanently assigned to work on the MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV– and with good reason (said reason being that the game absolutely slaps).

So, how does this all tie into Sony and their next generation of PlayStation consoles? In a recent interview with Feed4Gamers, Yoshida was asked whether or not he thinks that Final Fantasy XIV’s ongoing development will be impacted by the likes of the PlayStation 6.

“Specifically with regards to the recent platforms, they are quite high spec and so it’s easier for us to work with them compared to back in the days. So I don’t think any addition of hardware is a negative in that regard,” Yoshida replied.

“But when I look at things from a gamer’s perspective, I feel that there’s no real need to make new hardware, because I think right now people are happy with the Xbox Series X, the PS5 or the Switch 2. And honestly, from a gamer’s perspective as well, hardware is just expensive to buy.”

Honestly, that’s kind of a based answer.

Really, at this point in time, does anyone like the idea of shelling out god knows how much to buy a PS6? We’re probably talking about somewhere in the realm of £700 to £1,000 here, and it feels like the PlayStation 5 has barely delivered yet.

The current generation of consoles still feel like they have a lot of power left to give to me. So what can a PS6 offer us that we don’t already have? Slightly shinier graphics? A 0.1 second decrease in loading times? Cooler reflections?

I think Yoshida is bang on the money here, quite literally. I’ll stick with my PS5 for now, thank you very much.

  • One of PowerToys’ best tools is about to get a massive upgrade

One of PowerToys’ best tools is about to get a massive upgrade

    Summary

    • PowerToys Peek will gain a CLI: run PowerToys.Peek.CLI.exe to preview files from the command line.
    • Peek previews via Ctrl+Space; CLI brings it closer to macOS Quick Look for power users.
    • Microsoft plans to ship the Peek CLI soon.

Peek is one of the best PowerToys tools you can use to make your Windows 11 File Explorer better and take it one step closer to feature parity with macOS’ Finder. However, that doesn’t mean PowerToys Peek is as good as Finder’s Quick Look function, which also has support for macOS’ command line.

Now, it looks like Microsoft wants to close this gap with macOS’ Quick Look by upgrading Peek’s capabilities. The software giant has started working on a new Peek feature that will give PowerToys users more ways to preview files on Windows. And the best part is that we also know when Microsoft is planning to release the feature.

PowerToys Peek will soon step into a new territory

For those unaware, PowerToys Peek allows users to preview files from File Explorer by selecting a file and then pressing Ctrl + Space on the keyboard. macOS Finder’s Quick Look function also has the same purpose: it allows users to preview files without opening them in full apps. On macOS, it feels slightly easier, as you need to only press the Space key after selecting the file to take previews.

However, this isn’t what puts macOS’ alternative slightly ahead. Many power users would want to use the QuickLook function simply because it also has a command-line utility called “qlmanage,” which you can use to trigger Quick Look previews from Terminal. This may not be that useful for casual users, but developers and other power users can benefit from it in many ways.

Microsoft is also planning to do something similar with PowerToys Peek. One of Peek’s upcoming features will be support for the command line, according to a pull request on Microsoft PowerToys’ GitHub page. As per the description, users will be able to use the Windows command line and type “PowerToys.Peek.CLI.exe ” to preview a file.

This means, if you’re using a command line on Windows, you won’t need to switch to File Explorer to preview a file. All that’s required of you is to type the command line followed by the name of the file to preview. It’ll open the same preview window that you see upon triggering Peek by pressing the Ctrl + Space key.

When is the feature coming to PowerToys?

As much as we’d love to see this natively built into Windows, PowerToys is currently the only way to use the Peek feature. And since it’ll soon have its command line utility, power users may finally start considering Peek as a strong contender to its macOS counterpart. And you don’t have to wait very long for this.

According to the pull request on GitHub, Microsoft is set to introduce this feature in PowerToys version 0.95. The current PowerToys update is version 0.93, and the next is version 0.94, which is expected to arrive in September. So, we can expect PowerToys version 0.95, which will include Peek’s new feature, in October this year.

The area has become an “amazing community space”, Ms Voce-Jules said

An overgrown alleyway on Merseyside has been transformed from a “mess” into an “amazing community space” in just five weeks.

Local resident Liz Voce-Jules said she had had enough of the overgrown alleyway at the back of her home in Waterloo, Sefton and decided to do something about it.

Armed with bin bags and a hedge trimmer she set about cutting back thick brambles and weeds and clearing items which had been fly-tipped.

She put flyers through her neighbours’ doors asking them to join in and within weeks the space was “unrecognisable”, Ms Voce-Jules said.

“I had such an absolutely fantastic response,” Ms Voce-Jules said.

“People want to take pride in where they live and want to make it a better place.

“The by-product of that is the way the neighbours have come together.

“We’ve got planters, we’ve got chairs and tables, we’ve got beautiful signs, it has become such a fantastic community space.”

The residents transformed the alleyway over the summer

Ms Voce-Jules, who has lived in her home for six years, said she had gone from knowing only two local households to now knowing 17, and the street also now had an online group chat with over 40 members.

A number of social events have already taken place in the alleyway

“We’ve already had two social events,” she said.

“We were all able to go out sit in our garden chairs little glass of something in your hand and just enjoy the alleyway.

“It’s twinkling now with all of the fantastic solar lights.”

She encouraged anyone thinking of tidying up an overgrown alley at the back of their homes to “give it a go”.

“If you’ve got an alleyway behind you go out try to get other people involved to help tidy up,” she said.

“It has absolutely just it’s overwhelmed me, all the different people who have come out and have just made it such a special place.

“It’s hard work but it is brilliant. It’s just a lovely community hub now.”

This Lego Apple iMac G3 is the perfect retro toy design I never knew I needed

The Lego Ideas submission page on the building brick maker’s website is full of intriguing proposals from fans. The Palace of Versailles, Mondrian’s New York Boogie Woogie, a life-size table tennis bat and….er… a cat in a loaf of bread (something to do with a meme, apparently).

But one of the most intriguing proposals for any lovers of retro creative tech has to be a Lego iMac G3. The design is picking up so many votes on the site that it might actually make it past the threshold to earn a review from Lego. I hope it does because this is the perfect retro toy I never knew I needed and could become on of the best Lego sets for adults.

Lego Ideas is a section of the Lego website where fans can submit their own proposals for new sets to be voted on by other fans. As spotted by 9to5mac, the 700-piece Lego Apple iMac G3 was submitted by a fan designer who goes by the name of Terauma, replicating Apple’s classic 1998 all-in-one computer.

  • Samsung doesn’t want you to enjoy a Galaxy S26 Edge with a big battery, but it’s not all bad news

Samsung doesn’t want you to enjoy a Galaxy S26 Edge with a big battery, but it’s not all bad news

The most pressing question about the Galaxy S26 Edge is whether Samsung will relent and switch to a silicon-carbon battery with a much bigger capacity. Unfortunately, new information from a Chinese regulator makes that appear very unlikely, though it’s not all bad news.

A listing by the Chinese 3C regulatory body, spotted by SamMobile, reveals that the Galaxy S26 Edge’s battery may still use lithium-ion technology, just like its predecessor. Despite that, the battery with part number EB-BS947ABY has a rated capacity of 4,078 mAh.

That capacity would be marketed as 4,200 mAh, which aligns with some of the earlier rumors about the device. Most importantly, that’s a sizable upgrade from the meager 3,900 mAh of the Galaxy S25 Edge, even if Samsung won’t relent and switch to a silicon-carbon battery.

If you’re wondering why we keep hearing rumors about the Galaxy S26 Edge, it’s because Samsung is reportedly going to release it earlier than its predecessor. The company is expected to replace the Galaxy Plus model and launch its ultra-slim flagship alongside the rest of the Galaxy S26 models early next year.

Unlike its predecessor, the S26 Edge is likely to face some competition. Apple is rumored to release the iPhone 17 Air, which may be even thinner and measure only 5.5 mm.

In terms of battery capacity, Apple may be even more extreme and provide only a 2,900 mAh battery on the 17 Air. The company may rely on AI-powered battery management on iOS 26 to secure a full day of independent work.

In that context, the Galaxy S26 Edge battery sounds immense. Samsung is rumored to stick to the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 (likely called Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5) and slim down the device by up to 0.3 mm, which would make it as thin as the iPhone 17 Air is rumored to be.

I’m not a big fan of the slim smartphone idea, but if the rumors about the Galaxy S26 Edge are true, this could be one of the most impressive smartphones on the market. Fitting a 4,200 mAh battery in the same space that Apple will fill with a 2,900 mAh battery, while managing the power of one of the most powerful mobile chips ever made, sounds like an engineering feat worthy of praise.

  • Someone recreated Morrowind’s world within Elden Ring, and now I crave a remake

Someone recreated Morrowind’s world within Elden Ring, and now I crave a remake

    Summary

    • InfernoPlus is squishing all of Morrowind into Elden Ring, modernizing the classic world.
    • Mod keeps Morrowind’s soul while adding modern QoL fixes for today’s players.
    • Project’s ~half done; InfernoPlus asks for interest before dedicating much more time.

Recommending Morrowind in today’s day and age is a tough sell. While I am perfectly happy to play an RPG system where you can see an enemy, walk up to them so you’re touching toes with one another, swing your sword directly at their torso, and miss because an invisible dice roll told you that you missed, I can’t really see the people who were raised on Skyrim and Oblivion Remastered putting up with it. Which is totally legitimate; while Morrowind won over my heart, it’s still a product of its time and lacks the quality of life features that modern gaming brought to us.

Fortunately, there are mods for that. No, not Morrowind mods, albeit you can iron out some of the older game’s many wrinkles with a third-party tweak here and there. No, I’m talking about a work-in-progress Elden Ring mod that recreates the world of Morrowind into a modern-day RPG engine, which should make it far more palatable for today’s market.

Morrowind in Elden Ring is the perfect marriage of old and new

As spotted by GamesRadar, this amazing feat was performed by InfernoPlus. This is the first time I’ve met them, but GamesRadar is telling me that InfernoPlus also ported Halo maps into Dark Souls. So that should give you an idea of what to expect with this project.

This time around, InfernoPlus is squishing the entirety of Morrowind into Elden Ring. They originally tried to fit it into the Dark Souls engine, but it couldn’t handle how “dense” Morrowind is, which is surprising, given how the Elder Scrolls title came out in 2002. In fact this 23-year-old world also proved too tasking for Dark Souls 3, which could only just squeeze it in within the world loading mechanics.

So, how do we play this mod? Unfortunately, it’s not quite ready yet; in fact, InfernoPlus claims it’s about half done. However, they do, understandably, want to gauge interest in this mod before they dedicate a ton more time into a mod that nobody cares about. Well, if you clicked on this article, there’s a good chance that you, our dear reader, do care about something like this, so be sure to leave them a comment saying you want more of it. Because I certainly do.

If you’ve never heard of Morrowind before, it’s the third entry in the Elder Scrolls series, arriving just before Oblivion. If you’d like to know more, we crowned it as one of the best original Xbox games of all time and one of the classic PC games you can (and should) still play today.
