This Lego Apple iMac G3 is the perfect retro toy design I never knew I needed

The Lego Ideas submission page on the building brick maker’s website is full of intriguing proposals from fans. The Palace of Versailles, Mondrian’s New York Boogie Woogie, a life-size table tennis bat and….er… a cat in a loaf of bread (something to do with a meme, apparently).

But one of the most intriguing proposals for any lovers of retro creative tech has to be a Lego iMac G3. The design is picking up so many votes on the site that it might actually make it past the threshold to earn a review from Lego. I hope it does because this is the perfect retro toy I never knew I needed and could become on of the best Lego sets for adults.

Lego Ideas is a section of the Lego website where fans can submit their own proposals for new sets to be voted on by other fans. As spotted by 9to5mac, the 700-piece Lego Apple iMac G3 was submitted by a fan designer who goes by the name of Terauma, replicating Apple’s classic 1998 all-in-one computer.

  • Samsung doesn’t want you to enjoy a Galaxy S26 Edge with a big battery, but it’s not all bad news

Samsung doesn’t want you to enjoy a Galaxy S26 Edge with a big battery, but it’s not all bad news

The most pressing question about the Galaxy S26 Edge is whether Samsung will relent and switch to a silicon-carbon battery with a much bigger capacity. Unfortunately, new information from a Chinese regulator makes that appear very unlikely, though it’s not all bad news.

A listing by the Chinese 3C regulatory body, spotted by SamMobile, reveals that the Galaxy S26 Edge’s battery may still use lithium-ion technology, just like its predecessor. Despite that, the battery with part number EB-BS947ABY has a rated capacity of 4,078 mAh.

That capacity would be marketed as 4,200 mAh, which aligns with some of the earlier rumors about the device. Most importantly, that’s a sizable upgrade from the meager 3,900 mAh of the Galaxy S25 Edge, even if Samsung won’t relent and switch to a silicon-carbon battery.

If you’re wondering why we keep hearing rumors about the Galaxy S26 Edge, it’s because Samsung is reportedly going to release it earlier than its predecessor. The company is expected to replace the Galaxy Plus model and launch its ultra-slim flagship alongside the rest of the Galaxy S26 models early next year.

Unlike its predecessor, the S26 Edge is likely to face some competition. Apple is rumored to release the iPhone 17 Air, which may be even thinner and measure only 5.5 mm.

In terms of battery capacity, Apple may be even more extreme and provide only a 2,900 mAh battery on the 17 Air. The company may rely on AI-powered battery management on iOS 26 to secure a full day of independent work.

In that context, the Galaxy S26 Edge battery sounds immense. Samsung is rumored to stick to the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 (likely called Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5) and slim down the device by up to 0.3 mm, which would make it as thin as the iPhone 17 Air is rumored to be.

I’m not a big fan of the slim smartphone idea, but if the rumors about the Galaxy S26 Edge are true, this could be one of the most impressive smartphones on the market. Fitting a 4,200 mAh battery in the same space that Apple will fill with a 2,900 mAh battery, while managing the power of one of the most powerful mobile chips ever made, sounds like an engineering feat worthy of praise.

  • Someone recreated Morrowind’s world within Elden Ring, and now I crave a remake

Someone recreated Morrowind’s world within Elden Ring, and now I crave a remake

    Summary

    • InfernoPlus is squishing all of Morrowind into Elden Ring, modernizing the classic world.
    • Mod keeps Morrowind’s soul while adding modern QoL fixes for today’s players.
    • Project’s ~half done; InfernoPlus asks for interest before dedicating much more time.

Recommending Morrowind in today’s day and age is a tough sell. While I am perfectly happy to play an RPG system where you can see an enemy, walk up to them so you’re touching toes with one another, swing your sword directly at their torso, and miss because an invisible dice roll told you that you missed, I can’t really see the people who were raised on Skyrim and Oblivion Remastered putting up with it. Which is totally legitimate; while Morrowind won over my heart, it’s still a product of its time and lacks the quality of life features that modern gaming brought to us.

Fortunately, there are mods for that. No, not Morrowind mods, albeit you can iron out some of the older game’s many wrinkles with a third-party tweak here and there. No, I’m talking about a work-in-progress Elden Ring mod that recreates the world of Morrowind into a modern-day RPG engine, which should make it far more palatable for today’s market.

Morrowind in Elden Ring is the perfect marriage of old and new

As spotted by GamesRadar, this amazing feat was performed by InfernoPlus. This is the first time I’ve met them, but GamesRadar is telling me that InfernoPlus also ported Halo maps into Dark Souls. So that should give you an idea of what to expect with this project.

This time around, InfernoPlus is squishing the entirety of Morrowind into Elden Ring. They originally tried to fit it into the Dark Souls engine, but it couldn’t handle how “dense” Morrowind is, which is surprising, given how the Elder Scrolls title came out in 2002. In fact this 23-year-old world also proved too tasking for Dark Souls 3, which could only just squeeze it in within the world loading mechanics.

So, how do we play this mod? Unfortunately, it’s not quite ready yet; in fact, InfernoPlus claims it’s about half done. However, they do, understandably, want to gauge interest in this mod before they dedicate a ton more time into a mod that nobody cares about. Well, if you clicked on this article, there’s a good chance that you, our dear reader, do care about something like this, so be sure to leave them a comment saying you want more of it. Because I certainly do.

If you’ve never heard of Morrowind before, it’s the third entry in the Elder Scrolls series, arriving just before Oblivion. If you’d like to know more, we crowned it as one of the best original Xbox games of all time and one of the classic PC games you can (and should) still play today.

Who is Megan McArthur? 1st woman to pilot a SpaceX Dragon spacecraft retires after 20 years of NASA service

Megan McArthur, the NASA astronaut who became the first woman to pilot a SpaceX Dragon spacecraft, recently concluded a space a career spanning more than two decades. A trailblazer, the veteran of two spaceflights logged 213 days in space. Besides this, she was the last person to “touch” the Hubble Space Telescope with the space shuttle’s robotic arm.

A look at Megan McArthur’s space missions over the years

Launched as pilot of NASA’s SpaceX Crew-2 mission in April 2021, McArthur marked her second spaceflight with this mission. Another milestone that she achieved with this space exploration was her first long duration stay aboard the International Space Station.

“During the 200-day mission, she served as a flight engineer for Expeditions 65/66, conducting a wide array of scientific experiments in human health, materials sciences, and robotics to advance exploration of the Moon under Artemis and prepare to send American astronauts to Mars,” NASA said in a press release dated August 29.

She made her first spaceflight in 2009 with the fifth and final servicing mission to Hubble which was STS-125, aboard the space shuttle Atlantis.

Megan McArthur’s contributions have helped shape the future of human space exploration. As STS-125 mission specialist, Megan McArthur’s lead the team through five spacewalks to update and repair Hubble after its first 19 years in space.

Besides space flight missions, McArthur is noted for her contributions within NASA in various technical and leadership roles. A veteran of two spaceflights, McArthur served as the chief science officer at Space Center Houston, NASA Johnson’s official visitor center, since 2022.

    Megan McArthur’s qualifications

Born in Honolulu and brought up as a “Navy kid,” McArthur obtained Bachelor of Science degree in aerospace engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles. She secured a doctorate in oceanography from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography at the University of California, San Diego.

    Megan McArthur’s personal life

She married former NASA astronaut Robert Behnken and the couple have a son from the marriage. Behnken, who retired from NASA in 2022, has spent over 708 hours in space and flew aboard SpaceX Dragon 2 in 2020 as a part of the spacecraft’s first crewed mission.

In 2019, she became the deputy division chief of the Astronaut Office, supporting astronaut training, development, and ongoing spaceflight operations. She also served as the assistant director of flight operations for the International Space Station Program starting in 2017.

Today’s Hurdle hints and answers for August 31, 2025

If you like playing daily word games like Wordle, then Hurdle is a great game to add to your routine.

There are five rounds to the game. The first round sees you trying to guess the word, with correct, misplaced, and incorrect letters shown in each guess. If you guess the correct answer, it’ll take you to the next hurdle, providing the answer to the last hurdle as your first guess. This can give you several clues or none, depending on the words. For the final hurdle, every correct answer from previous hurdles is shown, with correct and misplaced letters clearly shown.

An important note is that the number of times a letter is highlighted from previous guesses does necessarily indicate the number of times that letter appears in the final hurdle.

If you find yourself stuck at any step of today’s Hurdle, don’t worry! We have you covered.

  • Bitcoin Price Skepticism Will Remain Into The Millions: Analyst

Bitcoin Price Skepticism Will Remain Into The Millions: Analyst

Skepticism over Bitcoin’s ability to rise further has followed the asset for years, and will likely continue even if the price reaches into the millions, according to a Bitcoin adviser.

“I think it’s going to be that way for a very long time,” The Bitcoin Adviser’s Luke Broyles told Natalie Brunell on the Coin Stories podcast on Friday.

“I think Bitcoin will be at $5 million, $10 million or more, and people will still be saying, Yeah, well it’s 8% of world assets now. It can’t go any higher, right?” he added.

Skepticism has followed Bitcoin (BTC) at every price milestone. Each time the asset has reached a new all-time high, critics have questioned its ability to climb further. During price corrections, many skeptics assumed it would never recover.

It may be an “exceedingly long period of time” before change

This year, Bitcoin reached several new all-time highs. Most recently, Bitcoin reached $124,100 on July 14, according to CoinMarketCap. Since then, it has pulled back to $109,290 at the time of publication.

However, Broyles argued that Bitcoin’s biggest hurdle isn’t technical but psychological, as most people still don’t believe it can improve their everyday lives. “Unfortunately, I don’t think a lot of people will make that switch until they see that,” he said.

“I think it is going to be an exceedingly long period of time,” he added.

Broyles suggested that Bitcoin merging with real estate loans will do much more for adoption than convincing Bitcoin skeptics to invest small amounts over time.

Bitcoin merging with real estate could push adoption faster

“Like, is it going to be harder to convince somebody who’s more skeptical of Bitcoin, hey, you should buy $1,000 of Bitcoin for the next 200 months. Or is it going to be “Hey, you can refinance your home and convert this equity into Bitcoin, right?” Broyles said.

“I think that is going to blow people’s minds,” he said.

A lack of understanding is still one of the biggest obstacles to crypto adoption. According to an August 2024 survey conducted by Australian crypto exchange Swyftx, 43% of 2,229 respondents said they hadn’t used the tech because they were unsure how it works.
