Arrangements for vaccinating children against polio virus completed 

MIRPTUR MATHELO   –  Arrangements have been completed for vaccinating about 400,000 children against polio virus in Ghotki district, 1300 teams will perform their duties, Deputy Commissioner Ghotki will supervise the campaign. According to the details, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Ghotki Manzoor Ahmed Kanrani regarding the vaccination of 396,972 children during the polio campaign in Ghotki district from September 1 to September 7, in which Assistant Commissioners, DHO, DMP PHI Arif Abbasi, N-Stop Officer Dr. Zaheer Domki, WHO’s Dr. Niaz, UNICEF’s Dr. Rahim Gadani, Altaf Gujjar and other officers of relevant institutions participated.  

On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that all resources should be utilized to vaccinate every child in the district during the polio campaign, no negligence in this regard will be tolerated. He directed the DHO to provide complete facilities to the teams so that they do not face any difficulty during the field. He also directed the officers of the concerned institutions to play their full role in the polio campaign as it is a national duty.

Regional Director Ombudsman Ghotki visits district Jail

Regional Director Ombudsman Sindh Ghotki Fazal Muhammad Sheikh visits District Jail Ghotki, inspects hospital, school, mosque, kitchen.

According to the details, Regional Director Ombudsman Sindh Fazal Muhammad Sheikh along with the jail superintendent reached District Jail Ghotki and visited various wards, hospital, school and inspected cleanliness and facilities and inquired about the problems of the prisoners. 

Speaking on the occasion, he said that the aim of the Sindh Ombudsman Department is to solve the problems of the people. In this regard, he visited the district jail to review the situation. Overall, the cleanliness and quality of food in the jail are good. However, instructions have been issued to the jail superintendent to resolve any legitimate problems of the prisoners. It is the responsibility of the jail administration to provide facilities to the prisoners according to the law.
