Trade Republic, the German online broker co-founded by ex-Merrill Lynch banker Christian Hecker, is teaming up with Apollo Global Management and EQT to offer clients access to private markets, a growing corner of finance that’s capturing the attention of retail investors.
Applying fractional investing, which allows people to purchase small portions of a bigger asset, Trade Republic users will be able to invest as little as €1($1.17), the Berlin-based fintech said on Sunday. They’ll also have the option to make redemptions on a monthly basis on Trade Republic’s internal marketplace.
