The Journal of Psychosocial Oncology recently published a Research Article exploring the experiences of 12 care partners of metastatic breast cancer (MBC) survivors, revealing a process of “Becoming a Co-survivor” characterized by five key categories. The findings highlight the diverse characteristics of MBC care partners and how their challenges evolve throughout the survivorship journey, suggesting that psychosocial providers should recognize this diversity, assess specific needs and develop targeted programs to address the changing psychosocial challenges across the continuum of care.
