Akhtar’s dominant performance throughout the tournament showcased his consistency and brilliance on the table.

The young cueist’s journey to the title included impressive wins over Polish opponents Krzysztof Czapnik and Oliwier Nies owik. Akhtar’s flawless play has earned praise from the global snooker community, with many hailing him as one of the sport’s brightest young talents.

This historic victory is a proud moment for Pakistan, marking the country’s first-ever IBSF World U17 title in snooker. Akhtar’s achievement is expected to inspire a new generation of snooker players in Pakistan.

Career counselling needed

Dear Editor,

Career counselling plays an important role in shaping the future of students. It helps young minds understand their skills, interests, and the opportunities available in the modern world. With proper guidance, students can make better decisions and avoid wasting time and resources on fields that don’t match their abilities.

Unfortunately, in Balochistan, especially in rural areas, career counselling is almost non-existent. Most students are unaware of the growing job markets, new educational paths, and the skills needed in today’s competitive environment. As a result, many end up choosing careers blindly, often leading to unemployment, frustration, and wasted potential.

Educational institutions must take this issue seriously. Schools and colleges should arrange regular career counselling sessions and invite professionals to guide students. This small step can make a huge difference in building a brighter future for Balochistan’s youth.
