Princess Anne added another feather to her cap as she was awarded a notable degree ahead of her 75th birthday.
The Princess Royal received an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Huddersfield, which is surely a huge honour for her, King Charles and the entire royal family.
For the unversed, Anne is the president of the UK Fashion and Textile Association. She accepted the prestigious honorary doctorate for her services in the field of art at the graduation ceremony on Wednesday.
A statement was released on the official Instagram page of the University of Huddersfield, reading, “We were very honoured to welcome Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal to campus today to receive an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Huddersfield.”
“Her Royal Highness joined graduates from our School of Arts and Humanities when she was conferred with the Honorary Doctorate for her services to the arts.”
It is worth noting that Princess Anne got an early birthday present when King Charles conferred a centuries-old royal title upon his wife, Queen Camilla.
As per Buckingham Palace, the Royal Navy has appointed The Queen as Vice Admiral of the United Kingdom at a ceremony on HMS Astute, marking the end of the Submarine’s first commission.
During the auspicious occasion, Camilla, who recently turned 78, said, “Each time I have met your Commanding Officers and visited the submarine, I am reminded of the exceptional servicemen and women in our Royal Navy.”
