Apple has a big fall launch season up ahead, with 15+ new products coming. But per various reports and rumors, there are three particular products launching that we’ve been waiting a long time for.
#1: AirTag 2

AirTag first arrived over four years ago, and it hasn’t had a single hardware revision since then.
But rumors about an AirTag 2 have been circulating for a long while. Based on recent reporting, it sounds like we’ll finally get a new AirTag this fall.
New features are expected to include:
If you’ve been needing to replace old AirTags, and have been holding off for AirTag 2, you shouldn’t have to wait long.
#2: New Apple TV 4K

Many Apple products have release schedules that are fairly predictable. For example, new iPhone and Apple Watch models launch every September, and most Macs and iPads get updated every 12-18 months too.
Apple TV 4K is a big exception, with a wildly erratic history of long and short intervals between hardware updates.
For example, the last two Apple TV 4K models arrived in 2021 and 2022—just a year apart. And here we are in 2025, still without an update.
Fortunately, a new Apple TV 4K is launching this fall at long last.
Features for the new model are largely unknown, but expectations include:
- upgraded A18 chip
- Apple Intelligence support
- possible a built-in camera
- in-house Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chip
#3: Ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air

iPhone 17 Air is an ultra-thin new model that will replace the Plus option in Apple’s lineup.
Despite being brand new, we’ve been waiting years for the kind of radical design overhaul that the 17 Air will bring.
iPhone X, back in 2017, was the last time the iPhone’s form factor changed significantly. The next most substantive design update was, perhaps, the switch to flat rather than curved sides with 2020’s iPhone 12.
But for the most part, the iPhone’s external design has changed very little these past 5-8 years.
iPhone 17 Air, however, is poised to offer a glimpse into the future—just like iPhone X did.
It will have some compromises that could put off some buyers, namely battery life and cameras.
But design-wise, this new iPhone will represent what’s coming. Apple reportedly plans to use the advancements of the 17 Air’s design to move the iPhone ever closer to Jony Ive’s longtime ‘single slab of glass’ vision.
