Joan Garcia, Marcus Rashford, Roony Bardghji, Jofre Torrents and Pedro Fernández ‘Dro’ all made their first appearances in a Barça shirt in the 3-1 win over Vissel Kobe in the blaugranes first game of their 2025/26 preseason. The Catalan goalkeeper, the English forward and the Swedish winger played their part in the win with the La Masia winger and forward also contributing on their first team debuts.
Quality in goal…
Goalkeeper Joan Garcia played the first half for his new club, conceding just before the break when Miyashiro made it 1-1. Before that he made several impressive saves, none more so than just prior to Vissel’s goal with Garcia unable to do anything on the follow up by the Japanese striker for the equaliser.
In the second half Marcus Rashford, Roony Bardghji and Jofre Torrents made their entrances with Jofre and Rashford linking up down the left. Both showed daring in attack as did Bardghji who made it 2-1 in the second half with an excellent finish after a move involving the English winger.
Two goals
The Swedish winger made it 2-1 with a curled effort after a pass from Lewandowski in the 77th minute. Prior to that Rashford played his part with an excellent pass to find the Polish striker. In the 79th minute Rashford and Jofre Torrents made way for Gerard Martín and another debutant, Pedro Fernández ‘Dro’.
The youngster made his mark on the game with the third goal in the victory, a well struck volley from the edge of the box with just minutes remaining. Five debuts that bode well for the rest of Barça’s preseason tour.
