Fans praise Colin Jost for response to Scarlett Johansson kissing Jonathan Bailey on press tour

Colin Jost has addressed the attention around Scarlett Johansson kissing Jonathan Bailey during the Jurassic World Rebirth press tour.

Johansson and Bailey, who star in the film, were seen sharing kisses on the red carpet at multiple events.

Jonathan Bailey, who is openly gay, previously said of the kisses, “I believe in being able to show love in all different ways. And if you can’t kiss your friends…life’s too short not to.”

Colin Jost spoke about the situation with Entertainment Tonight, describing the press tour as “fun,” although noting the unexpected stories emerging from it.

“[There’s been a] lot of Jurassic press things that you’re like, you didn’t expect this to be a story. But there’s a lot of stories coming out of it,” Jost said.

When asked directly about “your wife constantly kissing Jonathan Bailey,” Jost responded, “I guess in Jurassic Park terms, the attack always comes from the raptor you never thought. Of all the threats out there, I wasn’t thinking it was Jonathan.”

He added, “People really blow it out of proportion, when someone kisses their friend hello,” and noted, “Jonathan’s an out gay man. It didn’t seem like the biggest threat,” before joking that he and Bailey now need to kiss to “close the loop.”

Fans on TikTok and Reddit described Jost’s response as confident and noted their appreciation for his relaxed approach, with some commenting that “the world needs more Colins.”

LOS ANGELES — Vanessa Hudgens and husband Cole Tucker are expecting their second child.

Hudgens shared the news in an Instagram post featuring photos of her bare baby bump, captioned simply: “Round two!!!!”

The couple welcomed their first child earlier this year, following Hudgens’ headline-making pregnancy reveal during the 2024 Oscars red carpet pre-show, which she co-hosted.

Wearing a fitted black gown, the “High School Musical” star debuted her baby bump live on air. Their baby was born in July, but Hudgens and Tucker have kept details about the child, including name and sex, private.

Hudgens and Tucker, a former professional baseball player, tied the knot in December 2023 during a destination wedding in Mexico.

  • Most anticipated summer 2025 anime, Gachiakuta sees low viewership on Crunchyroll

Most anticipated summer 2025 anime, Gachiakuta sees low viewership on Crunchyroll

Gachiakuta, described as one of the most anticipated series of the summer 2025 anime season, has struggled to live up to its high expectations on streaming platforms, according to FlixPatrol data.

The anime, streaming on Crunchyroll in North America and available on Prime Video in some Asian regions, has yet to appear in the top rankings on either service.

Crunchyroll president Rahul Purini previously described Gachiakuta as “the biggest anime show in Japan” while speaking to The Hollywood Reporter

Purini said, “It is one of those shows where, if you watch the trailer, you’re hooked.” However, current streaming numbers have not reflected the series achieving widespread popularity internationally.

Gachiakuta has received varied critical responses. A review by CBR described the anime as “formulaic and unoriginal,” while IGN’s Kirsten Carey noted that the series’ characters and emotional narrative “feel too shallow to sell itself on its own terms.”

Crunchyroll’s official synopsis for Gachiakuta describes a floating city where the protagonist, Rudo, is framed for murder and thrown into the Pit, where he must navigate a world of mutated creatures while seeking justice.

While Gachiakuta’s viewership has not yet matched its domestic reputation, fans have noted that future episodes may impact streaming numbers as the series continues. Gachiakuta Episode 2 releases July 13.

Billed as the “global jukebox”, Live Aid was held simultaneously at Wembley Stadium in London and John F. Kennedy Stadium in Philadelphia.

  • Bobbi Brown Uses This Sunscreen for a ‘Natural’ Glow at 68

Bobbi Brown Uses This Sunscreen for a ‘Natural’ Glow at 68

    • Bobbi Brown revealed the “ideal” sunscreen she uses for “everyday protection.”
    • The 68-year-old Jones Road Beauty founder recently launched the Everyday Sunscreen.
    • She says it “works perfectly with all of my Jones Road makeup.”

Bobbi Brown knows that you can’t achieve a flawless makeup look without the right skincare. And when it comes to skin health, sun protection is non-negotiable. That’s why the beauty mogul just shared the “ideal” sunscreen that she says she uses for “everyday protection”—Jones Road Beauty Everyday Sunscreen.

The broad-spectrum SPF 30 sunscreen is available in five shades, including an untinted option. “They’re just the right tints. It’s a mineral sunscreen. It’s not sticky, but it’s not dry. We’re launching it with [The Daily Brush],” Brown told Prevention.

Like many of her beauty creations, she waited to debut the product until it was just right. “Everyday Sunscreen took many years to develop. I had to make sure that not only was it clean and effective but that it also paired incredibly well with makeup. I needed it to look natural, layer well, and not have a dry or uncomfortable finish,” Brown added in a press release. “This is my new ideal base for everyday protection, and works perfectly with all of my Jones Road makeup.”

The mineral sunscreen contains zinc oxide to provide powerful sun protection, as well as nourishing ingredients like glycerin, vitamin E, and argan kernel oil for healthy, hydrated skin. The tinted shades also contain color-correcting pigments for a natural finish. Brown recommends applying the sunscreen after your skincare routine and before makeup with either your fingers or The Daily Brush.

Brown introduced the Everyday Sunscreen in a recent Instagram video, where she explained the formula and shades in-depth. “The best sunscreen for you is the one you’ll wear every day,” Brown explained, which is why the latest launch from the brand took over three years to develop.

“The goal for me was to create shades that look as natural as possible on the skin,” she added. “The first one is Untinted which has no pigments in it. The one I recommend for light skin tones is Sandy [a yellow hue]. The one I recommend for my skin tone is the next shade up, and that is Peachy. We needed one that works on darker skin tones—that is Golden, and one that has a little more red in it, we call Apricot.”

Brown has long been an advocate of wearing sunscreen—and maintains that you don’t need to sacrifice SPF or your makeup routine. “Shielding skin from UV rays is crucial for preventing skin cancer, of course, but it’s also key to keeping that youthful glow,” Brown previously told Prevention. “Instead of choosing between sun protection and makeup, you can use both.”

We recommend using it as a super-light coverage complexion-corrector, or wearing it under What the Foundation for a super-hydrated, sun-protected look.

While you’re adding the Everyday Sunscreen to your cart, be sure to check out the rest of Brown’s everyday essentials.

  • Superman box office confirmed – on track for second-biggest Superman film

Superman box office confirmed – on track for second-biggest Superman film

Although the figures don’t come from Warner Bros themselves, if confirmed then Superman stands to be the second-best opening for a Superman movie overall, coming in behind 2016’s Batman v. Superman which grossed $166 million.

It also stands to be the the best opening for a Superman-first franchise instalment ahead of 2013’s Man of Steel and – in more good news for director James Gunn – would be his second-best opening for a movie behind Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

So, an all-round success, it seems.

(L-R) Nicholas Hoult, David Corenswet and James Gunn on the set of Superman Warner Bros.

A major step in the right direction for Gunn’s DCU, initial reviews for the film already pointed at Superman having won over sceptics. With a Rotten Tomatoes score that currently sits at 82 per cent, based on 349 reviews, plenty have admired Gunn’s ability to breathe new life into a long-beloved character.

The current top-grossing Batman v. Superman saw Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill take on the leading roles and was a follow-up to Man of Steel, also acting as the first live-action film to feature both characters together.

Although Superman is a fictional superhero that many know and love, Gunn had previously predicted that some viewers will take the film’s message about “human kindness” as “an offence”, telling The Sunday Times that it is “the story of America”.

    Read more:

He said: “An immigrant that came from other places and populated the country, but for me it is mostly a story that says basic human kindness is a value and is something we have lost.

“It’s about human kindness, and obviously there will be jerks out there who are just not kind and will take it as offensive just because it is about kindness. But screw them.”

The first live-action solo outing for the superhero since 2013’s Man of Steel, Superman features an all-star cast including Corenswet, Nicholas Hoult and Rachel Brosnahan, as well as a brief cameo appearance for Milly Alcock’s Supergirl.

Superman is now playing in cinemas nationwide.

  • Caught in the moment | Toman at [UNVRS]

Caught in the moment | Toman at [UNVRS]

Since [UNVRS] opened at the end of May, at least one member of the Ibiza Spotlight clubbing team have lapped up one of its weekly residency parties each week. We just can’t get enough! However, the first standalone night to be hosted by the new club, saw Dutch House wizards ANOTR showcase their On A Trip tour, Sunday 15 June.

We’re used to seeing Jesse and Oguzhan throwing No Art parties all over the world, but this night was made that extra special by being the penultimate stop on their album world tour.

The besties have been on the road since early February, playing thier brand new LP to adoring fans on numerous continents. The fact the album was partially written here, meant Ibiza could not be overlooked as being part of the globetrotting party programme.

If we had to choose only one thing [UNVRS] consistently nails, our go-to answer would be the production.

Having seen first-hand the level of detail and variation brought to each party, we knew the High Scream team would cook up something wild for ANOTR. Understated and alluring, classy and regal; the whole of the main room was hung in pastel drapes that later were projected onto.

Two of the DJ duo’s closest musical allies and members of their No Art camp were in charge of warming up the mega sized dancefloor on this occasion. Makèz played the opening set before duties were passed over to another compatriot, Toman. It may have still been relatively early, but the ante was about to be upped.

Toman being one of my favourite DJs, we hit front and centre for the entire set – a spacial dividend for arriving early doors and beating the surge that would follow later.

A regular in my own sets, Toman’s productions are in a league of their own. From his own track Emotions on his new label High Ceilings, to gems from Franky Rizardo and edits from newcomer Ninetree, he set the pace with a mix of underground heat and vocal-led groovers.

Josh Baker and Ben Sterling were up next and neither man missed a beat.

Though you don’t often see these two go back-to-back, it was like they’d done it numerous times before. The synergy between the both was undeniable, yet at the same time, you could tell which song was being bought in by which DJ.

ANOTR present On A Trip | [UNVRS]

Ben led with more underground rhythms, whilst the Baker held it down with more lighthearted, well-known tracks of the moment. All of JB’s huge House hits were standout moments, alongside plenty of unreleased edits.

This all came before the headline act came on, we felt like we got our money’s worth just from the first few hours alone!

Although this On A Trip showcase was a one-off, within hours of waking up the next day, we were greeted by the news that ANOTR will return to [UNVRS] in September for No Art Ibiza.
