  • ‘Superman’ Opening Saves the Day for DC Studios

‘Superman’ Opening Saves the Day for DC Studios

James Gunn‘s Superman is headed for a possible record domestic box office debut of $115 million to $120 million after topping Friday’s chart with $56.5 million, including a hefty $22.5 million in previews.

The movie appears to be succeeding in rebooting DC Studios and its most iconic comic book franchise. Gunn is in a unique position, being both the film’s writer-director and the co-head of the Warner Bros.-owned DC, which he co-runs with Peter Safran. Overseas, Superman is launching to $100 million-plus from 78 markets after earning $40 million midweek from its first raft of international markets for an early global total of $96.5 million through Friday.

Superman will be the first superhero film to cross $100 million in its North American bow since Marvel Studios and Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool & Wolverine launched to $211 million in summer 2024 (“superhero fatigue” has become part of the Hollywood lexicon). And it’s the first DC title to cross $100 million in eight long years since Wonder Woman debuted to $103.3 million in 2017.

And if the $225 million tentpole comes in north of $116.6 million, it will beat Zack Snyder’s 2013 film Man of Steel ($116.7 million) to rank as the biggest domestic launch ever for a solo Superman pic, not adjusted for inflation.

Snyder’s mash-up  Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice scored the biggest DC opening of all time when earning $166.6 million over Easter weekend in 2016. In 2006, Bryan Singer‘s Superman Returns unfurled midweek in North America for a six-day start of $84 million, including $52.5 million over the three-day weekend, which is considered the film’s official opening number.

Gunn’s movie is only the third Hollywood title of 2025 to launch north of $100 million after fellow Warners tentpole A Minecraft Movie, which opened to $162.8 million, and Disney’s live-action Lilo & Stitch, which sewed up $146 million in its debut. Crossing the century mark is no small feat for any movie in the post-pandemic era, and particularly for the troubled superhero genre.

Until now, Gunn was best known for being the mastermind behind Marvel’s blockbuster Guardians of the Galaxy franchise. The second Guardians boasts his biggest domestic opening at $146.5 million. Superman isn’t likely to beat that record, but it could supplant 2013’s Guardians threequel ($118.2 million) to rank as his second best, not adjusted for inflation.

Heading into the weekend, Superman’s opening had been the subject of intense scrutiny. Ditto for the hype around the film; even President Donald Trump joined in on the action by posting a meme of himself on social media as the new Man of Steel.

While tracking services predicted Superman would gross north of $130 million, Warners and DC were more conservative in forecasting $100 million-plus. And even rival studios cautioned that the marketplace is over-saturated with male-skewing fare, between Universal’s Fourth of July blockbuster Jurassic World Rebirth and F1: The Movie, from Apple Original Films in partnership with Warners.

According to Friday exit polls, 68 percent of Superman ticket buyers were male, while nearly two-thirds of the audience were between the ages of 18 and 34. While fanboys are known for rushing out on opening weekend, older moviegoers are likely to bide their time and avoid the crowds. And gender-wise, the makeup of the audience could even out to some degree.

The pic should enjoy a long run thanks to strong word-of-mouth. Critics and audiences alike are embracing the film. The pic earned an A- CinemaScore from moviegoers, the same grade given to Man of Steel and ahead of Superman Returns‘ B+. The audience score on Rotten Tomatoes is a stellar 94 percent, while the critics’ score is a pleasing 82 percent. The event title is also playing to an ethnically diverse audience, another key advantage.

Superman stars David Corenswet in the titular role, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor. Rounding out the cast are Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Beck Bennett as Steve Lombard, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho and Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific.

The movie marks the first DC film entry for Gunn since he took over the reins of the superhero label with Safran in November 2022. Other upcoming DC Studios projects include HBO’s Green Lantern series, Lanterns, and a Supergirl movie due out in 2026.

Elsewhere at the box office, Jurassic World Rebirth looks to collect nearly $39 million in its sophomore outing for a North American war chest of $230.9 million through Sunday. The tentpole grossed a notably better-than-expected $147.8 million in its first five days, including $92 million for the weekend proper, after stomping into theaters Wednesday, July 2, to take advantage of the long holiday. Globally, it’s clearing the $400 million mark this weekend.

Joseph Kosinski’s F1: The Movie is parked safely in third place behind Superman and Jurassic World. The Formula One pic is on course to earn another $10 million this weekend as it prepares to jump the $140 million mark in North America. Through Friday, the Formula One movie’s global haul was $358.3 million.

Family-friendly pics How to Train Your Dragon and Elio will round out the top five.

Numbers will be updated Sunday morning.

Joey King Wears Braided Ralph Lauren Sandals to Wimbledon Finals

Joey King attended the Women’s Singles Final at Wimbledon on Saturday in a full Ralph Lauren look, anchored by the brand’s Alexandrea Burnished Sandal in RL Gold. The handcrafted heel, made in Italy from burnished full-grain calfskin, featured braided leather straps across the toe and heel, lace-up ties with tassels and a 4-inch stiletto base. The open-toe silhouette tied at the ankle with tabbed ends, giving the formal summer shoe a textural finish.

The sandals were styled with the Sienna Day Dress, also by Ralph Lauren. Made from washed charmeuse in a muted moss tone, the sleeveless dress included princess seams through the bodice and a slight flare below the knee. The fabric’s subtle sheen echoed the tonal leather of the shoes, while the dress’s high neckline and full hem allowed the sandals’ lace-up detailing to remain visible from multiple angles.

Accessories were minimal. She wore RL Kiera sunglasses in solid beige and a Tigers Eye ring by Tessa Metcalfe, finished in silver with gold “nails” — a signature detail from the London-based jewelry designer. To complete the look, King carried a matching Ralph Lauren Small Shoulder Bag in RL Gold calfskin with saddle stitching and a tabbed strap. Hair and makeup were handled by Ilham Mestour and Polly Osmond, respectively, with styling by Jared Eng.

The Wimbledon appearance comes less than a month after King wore Tod’s clamp-bar loafers at Montblanc’s “Let’s Write” event in Milan. That look, also styled by Eng, featured white leather flats with a rounded toe and polished hardware. While the loafers grounded a textural spring look built around pleated khakis and an olive knit, the Ralph Lauren heels at Wimbledon signaled a shift toward refined occasionwear with the same attention to tone and craftsmanship.

The burnished finish and braided detailing of King’s sandals also echoed recent summer footwear trends, including Chiara Ferragni’s appearance in Dior’s rope-tie sandals at a beach event in Marbella. Like Ferragni’s flat, tassel-tied pair, King’s Alexandrea heels balanced formality with a handcrafted feel — a choice consistent with Ralph Lauren’s current seasonal accessories, which emphasize artisanal construction and tonal depth across its day and evening collections.

King is currently in London filming Practical Magic 2 and recently debuted a new red hair color for the role.

  • FIFA Club World Cup: Infantino hails dawn of ‘golden era’ | Football News

FIFA Club World Cup: Infantino hails dawn of ‘golden era’ | Football News

On the eve of the FIFA Club World Cup final, the governing body’s president hails a ‘golden era’ for the club game.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino triumphantly declared the Club World Cup to be “the most successful club competition in the world” on Saturday before this weekend’s final between Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea.

The first 32-team edition of the tournament faced criticism in the build-up for stretching demands on elite players and has been played out in baking temperatures in the United States that have raised concerns for the health of those involved.

There were also doubts about the level of interest the competition would generate among fans, but Infantino said he was satisfied with the attendance at matches, despite many games being far from sold out, and claimed it had been a major success financially.

“The golden age of club football has started. We can definitely say this FIFA Club World Cup has been a huge success,” Infantino told reporters at Trump Tower on New York City’s Fifth Avenue, where FIFA has just opened an office.

“We heard that financially it would not work, that nobody is interested, but I can say we generated almost $2.1bn in revenues, for 63 matches,” he said.

“That makes an average of $33m per match – no other club competition in the world comes close.

“It is already the most successful club competition in the world.”

Former Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp has been one of the leading voices against the tournament, calling it “the worst idea ever implemented in football” in a recent interview.

But the head of world football’s governing body dismissed suggestions that Klopp might be speaking for most observers in Europe.

“We shouldn’t say that the opinion of Europe on this is very bad because it is not true,” said Infantino, who was appearing on a stage alongside numerous footballing greats, including the Brazilian Ronaldo.

“All the teams who have come here have been happy – some teams who didn’t come here because they didn’t qualify were calling us to see how they could qualify.

“Of course, I would have liked to have Liverpool here, Arsenal, Manchester United, Barcelona, Tottenham, AC Milan, Napoli … but you have to qualify and there are different criteria.”

The next Club World Cup is due to take place in 2029, with Infantino refusing to commit when asked whether the tournament could be played every two years or be expanded to feature more teams.

“We created something new, something which is here to stay, something which is changing the landscape of club football,” he added.

The secret Harry peace summit: King Charles and Duke of Sussex’s senior aides meet for talks near royal palace in first step towards reconciliation and strongest sign yet both sides want to resolve bitter family feud

King Charles and Prince Harry’s senior aides have held a secret peace summit, The Mail on Sunday can reveal, marking the first significant move to resolving their rancorous family feud.

Sources said last week’s meeting was the initial step in a ‘rapprochement process’ to restore the broken relationship between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the rest of the Royal Family.

Aptly, the talks were held at a London private members’ club that champions international friendship, and whose patron is the King.

It is not known whether it was Charles or Harry who extended the olive branch, but insiders said the summit is the strongest sign yet of the determination on both sides to resolve the bitter House of Windsor feud.

‘There’s a long road ahead, but a channel of communication is now open for the first time in years,’ said a source. ‘There was no formal agenda, just casual drinks. There were things both sides wanted to talk about.’

Harry was represented by Meredith Maines, his chief communications officer and head of his household in Montecito, California, who flew in from Los Angeles.

She met Tobyn Andreae, the King’s communications secretary, at the Royal Over-Seas League (ROSL) a three-minute walk from Clarence House, the monarch’s London residence.

Also present was Liam Maguire, who runs the Sussexes’ PR team in the UK.

It was Ms Maines who organised Harry’s BBC interview in May in which he said he ‘would love a reconciliation’ with the Royal Family, but that the King ‘won’t speak to me because of this security stuff’.

The Duke was referring to the removal of his automatic police security detail in Britain, which he called an ‘old-fashioned establishment stitch-up’ and suggested his father could have resolved the situation.

Despite this adding to a history of wounding remarks, Charles was still said to be hopeful of a reunion with his younger son and that he might yet build a relationship with his two grandchildren, six-year-old Prince Archie and four-year-old Princess Lilibet.

Ms Maines, wearing a sleeveless cream jacket and high heels and carrying a black Louis Vuitton bag, arrived at the club by taxi with Mr Maguire at 3.50pm on Wednesday. Mr Andreae turned up several minutes later carrying a gift from Berry Bros & Rudd, the wine and spirits merchant which has been supplying the Royal Family since 1760.

The trio were later seen chatting over drinks in the 26C (78F) sunshine on the club’s first-floor garden terrace overlooking Green Park.

After ten minutes they got up and resumed their discussions inside. The source said the summit was only the ‘first step towards reconciliation between Harry and his father, but at least it is a step in the right direction.

‘Everyone just wants to move on and move forward now. It was finally the right time for the two sides to talk.’

Founded in 1910, the Grade I-listed ROSL was an apposite choice of venue. It is dedicated to ‘fostering international friendship and understanding’. Its website says its members ‘benefit from the club’s stunning interior design and restoration combined with historic features and architecture whilst enjoying a world of dining, events, arts and accommodation all under one roof.’

Ms Maines – who was also in the UK to meet her British-based team for the first time since she was appointed as the Sussexes’ first chief communications officer on March 3 – flew back to the US after the meeting.

She is understood to have reported straight to the Duke. She is based at the Sussexes’ £15 million mansion, from where they conduct their affairs, rather than using a separate office.

A seasoned Silicon Valley strategist with past roles at Google and a software company, Ms Maines spends most days at Meghan and Harry’s home managing their day-to-day operations and overseeing a team of eight staff.

She is the most senior aide in the newly formed ‘Sussex Royal Household’, which was formed last month in a bid to emulate the rigid hierarchical structure Harry operated in when he was a working member of the family at Kensington Palace.

Ms Maines is said to have masterminded the unveiling of the duchess’s Netflix show With Love, Meghan, and her lifestyle brand As Ever.

Mr Maguire, who, like Harry, is a graduate of the Royal Military Academy in Sandhurst, has worked on projects associated with the Invictus Games for wounded service personnel since Harry launched it in 2014.

The Duchess described approaching Harry and the Royal Family, seeking help with suicidal thoughts during her pregnancy.

‘I just didn’t want to be alive any more,’ she said. ‘And that was a very clear and real and frightening constant thought. And I remember – I remember how he [Harry] just cradled me.’

Meghan said she asked a senior royal about the possibility of seeking help and was told that would not be possible because it ‘wouldn’t be good for the institution’.

Harry further claimed that while his wife was pregnant, a member of his family had expressed ‘concerns’ to him about the baby’s skin colour.

Insiders said Harry’s memoir, Spare, was the final straw for his brother William, as it made public claims such as a physical fight the pair are said to have had over

Harry’s relationship with Meghan. The Royal Family responded with expressions of empathy, couched with the now infamous line: ‘Recollections may vary.’

Last year, The Mail on Sunday revealed that the Duke of Sussex had begun consulting with old friends from the UK about how to mastermind a return from exile.

Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan, have since moved their family to California after stepping back from royal life

The Royal Family reportedly had 'zero trust' in Prince Harry following his bombshell BBC interview earlier this year, an insider previously claimed (pictured: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, the Prince and Princess of Wales and King Charles departing Westminster Abbey after attending a Commonwealth Service in 2020)

The Royal Family reportedly had ‘zero trust’ in Prince Harry following his bombshell BBC interview earlier this year, an insider previously claimed (pictured: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, the Prince and Princess of Wales and King Charles departing Westminster Abbey after attending a Commonwealth Service in 2020)

At the time, sources said that Harry was consulting with people ‘from his old life’ as a working royal after allegedly growing dissatisfied with advice from American-based image experts.

The overtures signified the first stage in a strategy to ‘rehabilitate’ Harry that he hoped would

involve him spending more time in the UK to repair his relationship with his father.

But during his BBC interview, the Duke expressed uncertainty about ‘how much longer my father has left,’ sparking criticism for fuelling speculation about the 76-year-old monarch’s health.

Harry admitted that he didn’t expect forgiveness across the board from his family, saying, ‘Of course, some members of my family will never forgive me for writing a book. Of course, they will never forgive me for… lots of things.’

Despite this, he expressed a clear desire for a rapprochement, saying, ‘I would love reconciliation with my family. There’s no point in continuing to fight any more.’

Last month, The Mail on Sunday revealed that The Duke of Sussex had decided to extend an olive branch to the Royal Family by inviting them to the 2027 Invictus Games, which will be held in Birmingham.

He is said to be hopeful that the event could spell the end of his self-imposed exile in California, and mark a return to the royal fold. Meanwhile there are still hurdles to overcome with Harry’s Home Office battle over security.

After stepping back from royal duties in 2020, Harry lost his automatic taxpayer-funded police protection, but has fiercely contested the decision, insisting that he and his family are at risk whenever they visit the UK.

He maintains that if his father would only ‘step out of the way’ he could get his police protection back.

In the BBC interview, Harry accused his father of standing in the way of his fight for protection.

The issue became emblematic of the deep mistrust that now defines his relationship with his father and the wider royal household –but which may now, finally, be beginning to thaw.

Neither Buckingham Palace nor the Sussex’s representatives would comment on the meeting.

10 Reasons to Buy and Hold This Tech Stock Forever

    • Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSMC) is by far the largest provider of ultra-advanced semiconductors.

    • Management estimates revenue from artificial intelligence (AI) accelerators will grow in the mid-40% range until 2029.

    • The company has steadily increased its capital investments to account for growing demand.

    • 10 stocks we like better than Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing ›

Semiconductor (chip) manufacturing giant Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (NYSE: TSM) recently joined the elite trillion-dollar club, becoming one of only 10 companies with a market cap of over $1 trillion (as of July 8).

The company, also known as TSMC, has experienced a lot of growth in recent years, and its momentum is still going strong. In fact, it’s one of my favorite stocks right now, and I plan to hold it for the long haul. Here are 10 reasons why.

When it comes to semiconductor manufacturing, there’s TSMC, and there’s everyone else. TSMC has around a 70% market share of the semiconductor foundry market, far exceeding its next closest competitors.

There’s no clear path for any competitor to get close to TSMC’s market share anytime in the foreseeable future.

TSMC doesn’t sell products directly to consumers, but its chips are found in many of the electronics they use daily. TSMC’s customers include Apple (smartphones, tablets, etc.), Nvidia (GPUs), Tesla (self-driving technology), AMD (CPUs), and dozens of other tech heavyweights.

In the first quarter (Q1), TSMC’s revenue was $25.5 billion, up 35% year over year (YOY). Its net income increased 60% YOY (in local currency), continuing its impressive financial performance over the past five years.

    TSM Revenue (Quarterly) Chart
    Data by YCharts.

TSMC’s customers typically sign long-term contracts, helping to keep its revenue predictable as well.

TSMC makes most of the high-powered chips essential to the AI ecosystem. Smartphones used to be the largest segment for TSMC’s business, but the new AI demand has shifted the landscape. Managment estimates revenue growth from AI accelerators will have a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) in the mid-40% range until 2029.

Developing a semiconductor manufacturing plant is far from easy, which is why some of the world’s richest, most technologically advanced companies have yet to build their own and continue to rely on TSMC.

Can I trust my sunscreen? Choice test results have created uncertainty over SPF claims and lab testing process | Health

With Australia having one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world, the Choice report left many worried and wondering: can I trust my sunscreen to protect me?

Even four Cancer Council branded sunscreens were flagged in the report: its Ultra Sunscreen SPF 50+ was found by Choice to have a sun protection factor of 24. The worst result, though, belonged to Ultra Violette’s Lean Screen SPF 50+, which Choice’s testing found had an SPF of just 4.

While some brands have fiercely disputed the findings, the investigation has prompted debate over the reliability of sunscreen testing, as well as questions over the way these products are regulated.

Why have the sunscreen test results been such a big deal?

Australians love spending time in the sun and sun safety is instilled in people from a young age.

So the Choice investigation, with its results published in June, created a storm. Choice tested 20 popular SPF 50 or 50+ sunscreens from a range of retailers and prices in a specialised, accredited laboratory and found 16 of them did not meet their SPF claims.

How have the sunscreen brands reacted?

No surprise, the Choice results have been contentious.

Choice has said it handed over its findings to the companies before they were released publicly. Some have produced test certificates showing that their product met the claimed SPF using the same testing method that Choice used.

When contacted by Guardian Australia, the brands stood firmly by their SPF claims and said they test their products in accordance with the regulations. The Cancer Council said it stood by its previous results but, out of an abundance of caution, has submitted their four products that Choice reviewed for additional testing.

Ultra Violette, the sunscreen brand that had by far the worst-performing product according to Choice’s testing, has fiercely disputed the findings. The Ultra Violette Lean Screen SPF 50 plus Mattifying Zinc Skin Screen, a higher-end product that retails for upwards of $50, returned a result of just 4 in Choice’s test. A second test returned a result of 5, Choice said.

Ultra Violette has disputed Choice’s findings very strongly and very publicly. It has taken the step of speaking directly to consumers via social media. One of the brand’s co-founders, Ava Chandler-Matthews, posted a video on Instagram in which she strongly disputed Choice’s methodology. In response, Choice has defended the rigour of its testing.

    What is SPF?

The SPF or sun protection factor rating of a sunscreen measures how well it protects the skin from sunburn by indicating how much ultraviolet radiation can still penetrate the skin through the product when applied properly. For example, SPF 30 is estimated to filter 96.7% of UVB radiation, whereas SPF 50 is estimated to filter 98%.

Dr DJ Kim, a senior lecturer at the University of New South Wales’ school of chemistry, says the difference between SPF 30 and SPF 50 is actually “very marginal”.

Kim says SPF ratings are given by timing how long it takes skin to burn with and without the sunscreen.

“Let’s say that you took 300 seconds for your skin to burn with sunscreen, and then if … it took 10 seconds to burn without the sunscreen, then 300 divided by 10, that becomes SPF 30,” he says. “So, it’s not the most scientific method to measure the SPF factor, honestly.”

What do we know about sunscreen testing?

SPF claims in Australia are regulated by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA).

Sunscreen brands must get approval from the TGA to sell their products to Australian consumers. To do this, they undertake SPF testing in accordance with the Australian/New Zealand standard in an approved laboratory.

The accepted method is to test sunscreen on human skin. The methodology involves putting the sunscreen on 10 volunteers who are exposed to artificial solar UV radiation. This is the method Choice says it used, working with an accredited laboratory that specialises in sunscreen testing.

Sunscreen brands submit their results to the TGA for approval to “self-certify” that they have tested their SPF claims and that they stack up. The TGA does not usually do its own testing.

Dr Michelle Wong, a cosmetic chemist, says she doubts the TGA would have the resources to do all of the testing itself.

“And so, in terms of the regulations, most of the time, in this sort of situation where it’s a public body, there is always going to be some level of an honour system,” she says.

Is there a need to change the way sunscreens are tested or regulated?

There are potential inconsistencies in sunscreen testing. SPF effectiveness is measured by essentially getting people to put sunscreens in patches on their skin and measuring how “red” they get over time.

A TGA spokesperson says it is a known issue that there is variability in SPF testing results across laboratories because testing on humans can be highly subjective and the response to a test can differ dramatically from one individual to another.

“While progress is being made internationally toward in-vitro sunscreen testing (for example, not on human subjects), which will improve consistency of results, these methods are not yet in place,” they said.

Wong, who is known for her work on social media and her blog Lab Muffin, says in-vitro testing would be easier for the TGA to run in-house, which would limit the variability of the results and stop the potential for fraud at labs seeking to make a profit.

She also suggests having a limited number of designated labs that are accepted by the TGA for sunscreen testing.

Wong says although sunscreen is complicated and there are “technicalities” in the testing and regulation process, the most common problem is “user error” in that people aren’t applying enough product often enough.

“Sunscreens, in general, they work very well, and they are very effective at protecting your skin against sun exposure,” she says, noting that a sunscreen with an SPF of, say, 24 still offers very good protection.

What else has been happening with sunscreen?

Not long after Choice published its findings, sunscreen was back in the news for different reasons.

Last week, the TGA said it would begin consultation on additional controls for some sunscreen ingredients, including the controversial oxybenzone.

The medicines regulator says it has conducted a review of sunscreen ingredients used in Australia and is recommending additional safeguards for three chemical compounds.

The review proposes that some sunscreen products containing homosalate, oxybenzone and benzophenone be reformulated to ensure sunscreens meet what the TGA considers “the highest standards of safety for prolonged and frequent use”.

Homosalate and oxybenzone are active ingredients in sunscreen, while benzophenone arises from another ingredient called octocrylene, either as an impurity during the manufacturing process or from degradation as the product ages.

The TGA has begun a consultation process to help determine the level in sunscreens at which these ingredients remain suitable for use.

A week before that, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission launched legal action against the maker of two popular sunscreens over allegations it had misled consumers by falsely claiming its products are “reef-friendly”.

The consumerregulator alleges Edgewell Personal Care engaged in greenwashing. While these sunscreens do not contain oxybenzone or octinoxate, another chemical linked to coral damage, the ACCC alleges that they contain other ingredients that risk causing harm to coral and marine life. Edgewell is contesting the proceedings.

Google Fi device protection switches provider, 2x loss/theft claims

Like Pixel Preferred Care earlier this year, Google Fi device protection now has a new “device protection provider” with one benefit improving.

Device protection provides “additional coverage beyond your device’s manufacturer’s warranty” for phones (and smartwatches) purchased via the Google Fi store. It covers two instances of accidental damage, like drops, spills, or cracked screens, in any rolling 12-month period. There’s also “no limit” to coverage for mechanical breakdowns.

An updated support article details how Asurion is the new device protection provider for most phones shipped on or after July 14, 2025. Before that, it was Assurant, with Asurion/uBreakiFix already being the “authorized repair partner” during that period.

In terms of plan improvements, Google Fi device protection now covers up to two “loss, theft, or physical damage claims in any rolling 12-month period” (outside of New York), This is up from just one claim.
